There exists many supernatural races across the world. Devils, fallen angels, and angels, are far from the only ones.

Koneko Toujou stopped moving as she heard a loud scream nearby. It wasn't a voice that she recognized, but she was familiar with the emotion.

Terror.

It wasn't the kind of feeling you got from being startled or spooked. It was true, genuine fear.

Clenching her jaw, Koneko rounded and ran towards the screams. With everything that was going on in town, this very well could have been a lead.

From werewolves and vampires, to goblins, trolls, orcs and ogres...

Anything, from any mythology and folklore, is based on reality.

"P-please... don't..." A human man fell backwards. He stared up at the figure looming over him. His eyes were wide with terror, and tears were starting to build up. He was too petrified to even move. "I... I have a... family..."

Because in front of him was a monster.

Grinning maliciously, the figure knelt down to face him. It held out a hand, waving its long, blood coated claws tauntingly.

And that includes the japanese youkai.

"Come on now, if you say something like that..." The figure spoke in a deep, twisted voice.

In a fast, sharp movement, the figure slashed its claws across the man's face and throat. He gurgled, blood building up in his throat. The man coughed some up, blood coating his teeth. He fell back, dead.

"It only makes me want to do it even more."

The figure stared down at the bleeding, recently deceased man. Once he decided he was satisfied with his work, he stood back up to full height.

Extremely tall with buldging muscles and covered in fur, the figure was indeed a monster. More closely resembling a humanoid lion than a human man. He was dressed like a typical member of a biker gang.

The lion scowled as he felt a slight buzz in his head. "That damn Kokabiel, trying to give me more orders... why the hell does he suddenly want us back?"

He grunted. "Fuck. That last one made 39. I need to find at least one more to make it an even number. I might be a monster, but even I've got my limits."

Suddenly, he felt a force collide with his head, tilting his skull slightly to the right. "Huh?"

A blow to his side, and then another one, sent him skidding back a few feet.

Looking in the direction of where the attacks came from, the lion blinked as his eyes fell upon the tiny form of Koneko Toujou.

He stared at the girl flatly for a moment, before letting out a heartly laugh. He cracked his neck, before fully turning to face her.

"Looks like number 40 just volunteered themselves. Not that I mind too much, although I do prefer a hunt."

Koneko narrowed her eyes at the lion. His features were strange. Could he be...?

"Are you working with Kokabiel?" Koneko asked. If he was, then she would do everything her power to make him take. If he knew where the holy swords were- he knew where Kiba was.

The lion tilted his head. "Oh? Kokabiel? Someone seems to know things they shouldn't." He grinned maliciously "But don't worry, I'll take care of that little problem."

Koneko scowled. Both at the jab at her height, and the all but confirmation of her suspicions.

"Where is he?" She demanded, glaring at the lion hatefully.
