"Oh my, what are you doing out here, all alone?"

The child looked up at the dark figure standing before him. The child's eyes were blank. Devoid of life.

"Have you perhaps, lost everything?"

"Don't worry. I have a perfect place for you..."

"Welcome aboard, 099."

...

Suk-chin jumped over a small group of fallen angels that had just attacked him. Or to be more precise, he was the one to find them. For some reason, he was very easily able to sense them out.

He kicked one in the end, instantly knocking them down. He followed up by rotating and landing a kick to another's chest, taking that one out as well.

Finally landing back on the ground, Suk-chin ducked underneath an incoming spear, before kicking the attacking fallen in the stomach.

"Hm..." Suk-chin stared the last fallen angel down, who grimaced instinctively, and tightened their grip on their light spear.

"You'll be the one to tell me where Kokabiel is." The rook decided, before walking towards the fallen angel.

"F-fucking die!" The fallen angel shouted, throwing his light spear towards Suk-chin, who easily sidestepped out of the way, before blitzing towards him and pinning him against a wall.

"Well? I can't say I'm very patient, so I'd suggest telling me quickly." Suk-chin warned, pushing the fallen further against the wall.

"O-okay! Okay! Just let me go!" The fallen angel pleaded. Suk-chin dropped him to the ground, but kept his hold on him. "That happens after you tell me."

The fallen angel struggled for a moment, before eventually giving in. Treachury meant death, but what did that mean if he would die right now anyways?

"He's in-"

*bang!*

A bullet ran through the air, and blew cleanly through the fallen angel's eyes.

"Tch." Suk-chin scowled and turned his head. Standing on the roof of a nearby house, was a tall japanese man with short, thick black hair. He was wearing a brown jacket, and a black bodysuit underneath.

"Sorry about that!" The man called out in a deep, slightly raspy voice. He hopped from the roof, and landed a few feet away from Suk-chin.

"I was having fun watching the show, but I didn't have a choice but to step in just now." He said. "After all, we can't have you finding out where our base is so easily, can we?"

Suk-chin fully turned in the man's direction. "So you also work for him. But you use a gun. Are you an exorcist?"

The man laughed. "Hell no! I mean, sure, I've gone after my fair share of devils, but it's more of a hobby than a profession, really." He said, putting his gun away. "No, I'm not really much of a gun user, in all honestly. But it has its uses. Like killing weaklings who want to spill all our secrets, for one."

"So what? If I beat you, are you gonna tell me where Kokabiel is?" Suk-chin asked.

The man thought about for a moment, before shrugging. "You know what? Fuck it. It'll spices things up a bit, ya know? It'll give you some motivation to give it your all."

Suk-chin narrowed his eyes. This man had an average overall disposition. On top of that, he was a hundred percent certain that he was completely human.

But...
