I had to take a few days off from reading to catch up on life, which delayed updates for a few days.

Story updates will slow, but chapters will be longer on average. Expect chapters around the length that the past three chapters (including this one) are, or longer.

"Gah, why is it so tight?"

"Just endure it, everyone does!"

"You can't be serious! Why would anyone want to wear a suit!" Alex complained, grabbing at the tight black fabric he was wearing.

"This party is a formal celebration." Rias explained, tying his tie for him. "Therefore, this kind of clothing is a requirement."

"Who would require this kind of torture?" Alex hissed at the tightness. "Feels like I'm in a damm straightjacket."

Rias paused for a moment. "Have you... been in a straightjacket before?"

Alex paused as well, staring at her strangely. The two stood awkwardly for near a minute.

"...So why exactly do we need to do this?" Alex eventually asked, changing the subject.

Rias sighed. "Well, after we won the rating game..." She took a moment to gaze at Alex's face. A smile crept onto her lips. "My parents decided to host a party in celebration."

"That so?" Alex asked. "Seems kinda weird. Like, 'yay, my daughter escaped the marriage we put her in'."

Rias grimaced. "Please don't say anything like that in front of my parents." She pleaded. "Especially my mom."

"Who do you think I am?" Alex scoffed. "I at least know better than to antagonize someone's parents."

"Right." Rias nodded hesitantly. "Also, I mean this in the best way possible, but please don't make a scene."

"I promise not to start a scene." Alex promised, and Rias let out a sigh of relief.

The Gremory heiress took a step back, and gave Alex a once-over. "You know, you might not like them, but I for one think you look very good in a suit." Rias winked, causing Alex to cough in embarassment.

"Thanks. You..." Alex gave Rias a good look for the first time. She was wearing a dark red dress that hugged her tightly. Alex winced. "It's kinda hard to look at you for too long. Too much for my eyes to bare."

Rias smacked him on the arm. "Oh stop." She blushed deeply at his words, her heart hammering in her chest.

Every since she first laid her eyes on her rook after the rating game, her heart would flutter. She couldn't help it.

...

Alex let out a soft groan as his eyes fluttered open. He winced at the bright light that filled his vision.

"Where the hell... am I?" His voice came out dry and raspy. As his vision returned, he realized he must have been inside some kind of medical facility.

He needed water. He wasn't too sure what was going on but he was fucking parched.

As Alex looked around, hoping to find some precious H2O, he instead saw a see of red hair covering a portion of his torso and legs.

"Rias?" Alex immediately asked. And he was right. The weight on him was none other than Rias Gremory. The girl was sitting on a chair nearby Alex's bed, and she was fast asleep.

"Really... how long has she been here for?" Alex asked softly. "For that matter, how long have I been here?"

Alex thought about waking Rias up. At first he was conflicted, because she looked really cute-
