"Come on Issei, you can do this!" Rias encouraged her pawn.
Issei was hiking up hill with a large, heavy bag on his back. Rias, alongside Akeno and Asia, was standing at the top of the hill without a bag.
"Fuck! Why is this so heavy?" Issei conplained. He was making good progress, but he felt like his back would shatter at any moment.
"On your left." Kiba walked past Issei, carrying a same sized bag, causing Issei to cry.
"I thought I was getting stronger..." Issei sighed miserably. His current struggle, alongside his shameful defeat by that douchebag's servant, was really cutting his confidence down.
"You are." Alex said, suddenly standing next to him. His bag was comically large in comparison, and the ground broke underneath his feet due to the sheer weight.
"Easy for you to say! How is that even possible!" Issei shouted at him.
"That bag is small, but it's a lot heavier than it was originally going to be." Alex revealed. Issei blinked in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"It's true, Issei." Rias called from above, catching Issei's attention.
"Originally, the weight you were going to carry was a tenth of what you are now." She explained. "Alex assured me you could handle it, since you had already taken the initiative to train."
"I..." Issei looked at Alex. "You said that?"
Alex nodded. "For sure. You still might not know how to fight very well, but you're starting to pack on some muscle."
Issei swallowed, and a small rush of confidence swelled back into him. He climbed up the hill with newfound vigor.
"Move." Only for it to be crushed as Koneko sped past him, carrying a bag dozens of times larger than his.
...
After a few more hours of dreadful hiking later, the occult research club finally arrived at their destination.
"This is where we're training?" Alex stared up at the large, fancy looking house. "This is better than the place I live in."
Rias shrugged. "The Gremory family owns this land, and we had this facility built here."
"However," Rias turned to face her peerage with a smirk. "Despite its appearance, each and every one of you will be put through hell and back during your time here."
"Now, let's get inside and unpack. After that we will begin."
"Wait what!?" Issei cried. "Starting immediately after getting here? That's evil and completely unfair!"
"Why thank you." Rias smiled.
"Of course it's a compliment." Issei groaned. Alex patted him on the back. "We only have ten days, so we need to make the most of them."
"Correct." Rias nodded. "Get going now, we don't have time to waste."
...
The three boys of Alex, Issei and Kiba changed into their appropriate training clothes, with the girls doing the same in another room.
"I wonder what she's gonna make us do." Issei said.
"It might vary for all of us." Alex spoke. "Despite your training, you're still a beginner. You haven't mastered the basics yet."
"Hey!" Issei shouted. "That's... true..." He deflated.
"No need to feel bad, Issei." Kiba tried to cheer him up. "That's what this training camp is for."
