Chapter 20

"hmm..." ungol ko dahil panay ang gising sakin ng kung sino. Mas niyakap kopa ang pillow ko at sinubsob ang mukha.

"I-im s-leepy" I murmured.

"Lyle! Inumin mo na gamot mo. Gumising ka na nga!" napamulat ako dahil sa pamilyar na boses.

Hu? Eh?

"Cous! Come on!" K-kaila?

Si Nami ba yung kanina? Andito sila?? Sa kwarto ko??

Napabalikwas ako sa higahan at magulo ang buhok nang makita ko ang mga kaibigan ko sa loob ng kwarto. Am i dreaming?

"Anong.."

Maligalig na pumunta sa gilid ng kama si Nami at umupo pagkatapos ay inakbayan ako. "Hindi na ba sumasakit ang ulo mo? Okay ka lang?"

I shook my head. Si Kaila ay nakatayo at may hawak na gamot at baso na may tubig. Inabot ko nya iyon sakin at kinuha ko naman. I drink ng meds and Kaila go downstairs. Kukuha nya daw kami breakfast and snacks.

Tatambay sila dito panigurado. 

Tatambay? I took my phone and I look at my calendar.

June 8

First Day of School

I look at Nami with confused eyes. "What are you doing here?"

Her eyes widen and she put her hands at the top of her chest. "Lyle... Dimo na ba ako nakikilala?" kabado nyang sambit.

"Oh my! No... No way... Nagka- Alziemers kana din ba? A-ako to si Na--"

Napasapo ako sa ulo dahil sa mga sinasabi ng babaeng to. Pumasok si Kaila at iilang kasambahay na may dalang iba't ibang pagkain. "Thanks po."

"What I mean is, what are you guys doing here? It's the first day of school but you're here? Cutting agad?"

Kaila bite her sandwich before answering me. She shook her head. "We didn't cut class. Nakalimutan mo na ba? Pag first day walang ganap. Orientation lang and papakilala ng teachers."

Nami nodded and walk towards the food. She gave me the plate with vegetables, spam, sausage, and rice before eating the apple she was holding.

Nagsalin ng juice si Kaila, binigay sakin ang isa at sunod ay kay Nami.

They're so sweet.

"Thanks, girls! "

"Welcome!" Nami said and wink at me.

"hmm..." ungot ni Kaila.

I started eating the sausage. "How are you?" Kaila asked. She's sitting on the couch and beside her is Nami.

"Good."

She just nodded. I finished the sausage so I started eating the spam with rice this time. I remember the surgery. I should tell them about it. Later. After we finished our food. I drink my juice.

"Ah!"  Sarap!

The vegetable is the only food that remains on my plate. Naalala ko tuloy sya. I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling. Oh my gash! Mag-boyfriend and girlfriend na nga pala kami! We're in a relationship!
