Chapter 30

"Ate! Nakakaba!" humawak pa si Anika sa dibdib habang ang isang braso ay nakakapit sakin. Nasa loob kami ng elevator para puntahan uli si Mr. Del Mundo.

I laughed. "Don't be. You'll be fine," I assure her. Ganyan din naman ako nung una dahil sa pananakot ng babae sa information desk pero masasanay din si Anika. Lumabas na kami at humiwalay naman siya para ayusin ang sarili. Dumiretso kami sa may office ni Mr. Del Mundo at kumatok bago pumasok. Napatayo naman sya agad at napangiti. Pumasok na kami ng tuluyan.

I smiled. "Good morning, Sir,"  magalang kong bati. Tumingin ako sa katabi ko bago ibalik muli ang tingin sa kanya. Naabutan ko naman ang nakangti nyang mukha na nakatingin sa kasama ko bag muli ako balingan. "This is Anika. My classmate and friend and she's here also to have a training." Bago pa man kami pumunta ay nagaapply nadin naman si Anika. 

Ngumiti naman ang babae. "Good morning, Sir. I'm Anika Santos." pagkatapos ay inilahad ang kamay. 

Inabot naman ito ni Mr. Del Mundo at ngumiti. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Santos." They shook their hands before he look at me. "It's nice to see you again, Ms. Pascua." I smiled back.

He walks towards his table and took a pile of paper. He hand me the paper so I took it from his hand. "So, since you're part of our new product and you already know what it is..." I nod. He looks at the person at my side. "I want you to teach Ms. Santos all the things you learn in your first three days of training. Then, after that, we have a meeting again about the project but this time you're the one who will do all advertising until we already put it in the billboard."

We both smiled and nodded. I was so excited! I'm excited to learn more, work with Anika, and publish my first project! I hope it will turn out well. 

He looks at her again. "Do you know that Ms. Pascua design and do most of the things in our project?" 

Anika nod. "Yes, Sir!" Mr. Del Mundo nod. "Ms. Pascua is good at following my orders and in everything she does. Can I count on you too?"

She nods repeatedly. She looks so determined. I chuckled. "Yes, Sir! I always do my best and I can promise you that I'll be more hardworking and responsible."

Mr. Del Mundo nod and look at us before he smiled. "Okay. So, we have a long day ahead so why not start now?"

I smiled and took Anika with me. I teach her the things I learn and how the meetings go. Anika is a smart and fast learner so I never had a hard time teaching her everything. She's also not shy to ask something she didn't understand.

The meeting starts and the marketing managers are here too. They talk about the promotions and their daily activities in the project. We're both just listening and focusing on every word that is coming out in her mouth. We take notes of the important things and that Mr. Del Mundo asks us to write.
