You slowly open your eyes and adjust your vision with a pounding head ache. Your hazy eyes flutter open and look around at your surroundings, your hand immediately cradled your head.

What the fu- no way-

---

"Hey Nat need a little help here." Upon hearing Cap's voice, a woman with red hair came down to you, your vision barely making out a face with the impact you took. Your watery eyes tried to scan over this woman as best as they could.

"Hey try to stay awake for me here." She says with a calm and soothing voice, but when you just got hit with a beam of magic from a magical staff, you really can't do much to stay conscious any longer, with that, your vision starts to blur and darkness takes over.

---

Recalling that last memory, you look around and see that you were in a hospital room, not realizing a sleeping Tony Stark right beside the window. There were folders with several files messily around the table.

When he felt you stir, he jolted up. "Morning kid, you took quite an impact." He said looking at you like he wasn't just sleeping, his palms together in front of him.

"Uh yeah hi, where am I exactly?" You look at him visually confused.

"Oh, you're in the Avengers Tower Medical wing." He spoke casually.

You look at him blankly, blinking a few more times that you need to, " I'm sorry what?" You said in almost a whisper.

"You're in New Y-"

"No, I heard what you said, I just uhm- I was at Germany last, and now I'm New York. Explain to me what the hell is going on." You tried to speak calmly, you really did, but that came out as a shout.

"I- uh, Loki, the guy that had these horns and had the glow stick of destiny, he hit you with that so we had to take you in before it got worse." You try and think about the maniac that put you in this situation.

"It was a very stressful week, with Loki's invasion, then you had to be stable, and the people-" he sucked in a breath "-But now we're good, a few couple hundred of buildings demolished but other than, it's been smooth sailing." Your eyes widened at the amount of time you were unconscious for.

"A Week?!" You yell, doing your best to comprehend the information you were taking all at once.

He mumbled something to his ear piece, but that was the least of your problems, you still had a whole situation.

Moments later, the whole Avengers team crowded the room, greeting you a Good Morning, like that's going to do anything. "Someone fucking explain to me what the hell is going on. Now." You seethed at the heroes. The headache you had was quickly ignored when the words 'week' entered your ears.

"Look, you took a pretty hard blow kid, we needed to treat you before it got worse." Tony spoke, you could have died anyways, there doesn't need to be any fuss about a citizen getting hurt and taking them into their own special care, especially a normal human being like you who was just blasted, unless they take every single injured person on this earth, then this wouldn't seem unnecessary.

"We get it if you need time to process everything that happened, but we need to tell you what's going to happen while you're here." Natasha said.

You asked them as you looked back at them from your hands, "what does that mean?"

"We were informed that Loki met up with you an hour or at least just before his attack on your crowd, we have suspicions that you might have something to do with him. I'm sorry but you have to be kept on a close watch by us, so you're staying here, at least until we find Loki." Natasha proceeds on telling you.

That's why I'm here. Figures.

You stayed quite for most of that then laughed, they all looked at you like the impact hit you worse than they thought, "oh you're funny. Me? Someone who barely has their life together helps this  'Loki guy'?" You laugh.

"Look, I'm sorry to disappoint you but you have the wrong person, yes he was in my apartment, but I don't even know him, let alone help him invade and plan with him like super villains, I heard a lot of crazy shit but that definitely takes the cake. I don't even know how he got in my home in the first place." You absolutely chose to not tell them about the pinning to the wall part. You laid back into the pillow, still unbelieved at the fact at they think you had something to do with the attack.

An awkward silence filled the room, you still snickered about their whole epiphany.

"I'm sorry, really, but we can't just take your word for it, we have to keep you here. You don't have to worry about anything, you just have to stay here for a while then you're free. It's not like you're a prisoner or anything."

Your laugh subsided and you looked at them, there's isn't much to do anyway so you slowly nodded and let out a long sigh, looking at the ceiling as nothing else was to talk about.

The team left you alone for your thoughts, you ponder and think through everything that happened.

If I have to stay here, well at least I can say that I met the Avengers when all of this is over.

You told yourself, trying to liven up, a small laugh left your lips.

This is going to be interesting, living with earths Mightiest Heroes, if I probably wasn't shocked with all this I would have screamed and fainted like a little girl. I mean they're basically celebrities and being a fan of them myself, I wouldn't last a second let alone staying with them.

A small sigh left your lips.

Looking around the room, you spot the small window beside the coffee table and chairs that Tony was napping on. You stand up and look out seeing the busy streets of New York City, the lights coming from various buildings and cars, the people walking like they have their own little bubble and are too bothered to care about the people with the same intentions.

So this is New York.

I always wanted to visit New York, so in a way, I made it?

New York is beautiful but with the sun setting, making the scene of the city more beautiful than it already is, you simply just sit back and enjoy the scenery, feeling the warm late sun on your skin.

You close your eyes and relish this peaceful moment you have.
