Your heart skipped a beat, you thought you lost her.
But then everything stopped.
Stopped.
Froze.
Paused.
Halt.
Whatever you want to call it, everything but you is moving. Wanda's body that wad just about to drop remained still. The waterfall of tears that was about to come flooding in, immediately was overshadowed by confusion.
"What?" The soft word fell from your lips.
Looking down at your shaking hands, you pull up Wanda and away from Ultron. Was this supposed to be your power? Stopping time? if it is then how the fuck do you take it back?...play it back.
As much as you like the the pause and slight breather it gave for you mind, they can't stay frozen forever; nor do you like the discomfort you get from everything stopping, leaving you and only you to freely move.
You get the treatment of being the only one, yet if feels somewhat claustrophobic, how you might not get all the people you know back. Plus you're new to all this, it can get pretty overwhelming how sudden this became, especially with a power like this where things can only be figured out by you.
Unless there's someone out there in this big universe that has the same power as you, and can teach you how to control said power. But till then, you're on your own.
The discovery of the very situation people worked hard to get, gain, and absorb the knowledge from, just happened without you even trying.
Ha the irony
There isn't anyone that can help you explore this without possibly fucking up, even when you do manage to get everyone back. There isn't a how-to book on figuring out how to stop and start time.
How do you...play?
After coming down from the shock you try and put back things the way they were. Maybe focusing on your mind? Trying to see where you can draw out your power to bring all of this back?
You rub your hands together, closing your eyes, taking a deep breath, "move" you crack one eye open and see if anything changed.
Nothing.
"Play"
Nothing.
"Abracadabra"
Nothing.
"Hocus-Pocus"
Nothing.
"Go"
Nothing.
Your frustration starts growing, the annoyance and lack of result helping it. Now you get what they felt(the scientist), what an excruciating suffering it was. You've only spent about 20 minutes and you already wanted to give up.
"Come on!" You yell loudly from the floor, leaning back on the cold metal. Out of all your attempts this...this puts everything back.
Of course, of fucking course.
"Oh for fuck's sake!" They all look at you, you just let out a huff.
"Y/n?" Wanda's voice brushed off some anger from you, you turned to her with your hands on your hips. She immediately took you into her arms, exchanging the hug, your eyes widen at Ultron just behind her, good thing that Tony saw all this too and took care of it. Flying out of the boat, taking him along.
"Y/n?" Pietro's head popped up from the pile of boxes and quickly hugged both of you from behind, almost knocking the pair of you down. You let out a small laugh, enjoying this moment.
