Even if your story did impact the team emotionally and lulled them into taking a bit more empathy towards you. Their decision with you going to the cell is final. You were said to be escorted there after breakfast.
You couldn't believe the attack was almost a month ago, same time as your temporary stay in the Tower. Most of the Avengers haven't really recovered from the attack, especially Clint and Tony. Tony pretends like he's alright, but based from the others' story(and the internet)of him and that worm hole, you know he's just trying to keep it together like everyone else.
Clint on the other hand was the one that got it worse. Yes, the others also got the trauma of the century, but Clint got the worst one. He was controlled out of his will. Someone's own toy to play with to their hearts content. His mind wasn't even his in that moment anymore.
He couldn't do anything about it, especially when his own body refuses to listen to him. His own mind being his own personal prison. A glass box that kept him contained no matter how hard he pounded his fists. The worst part was that he was vulnerable. Completely bare to the controller to do what he wanted to his memories.
He was exposed.
Even though at some points they can get annoying or you can feel out of place in the Tower, at least you got to meet The Avengers. You got to know them beyond their open history.
A sudden thought flashed through your mind. "Shit Vanessa." You said out of nowhere, your words bounced off the small space of the elevator. You were waiting patiently for your floor. Cap and Tony turned to you.
"Who?" Tony asked.
"A friend back in Germany." Your anxiety built up, anxious thoughts filled your mind.
You heard a *ding*, and the metal grey doors of the elevator opened to the new addition in the Tower. There was a door to the right where you must be staying at. I mean it wasn't rocket science, it was the only room to go to.
The two men ushered you to walk.
"So here's your little apartment. I say apartment because it has everything you need in it. A bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room, food stocked fridge that gets restocked every two weeks, There's even a balcony, I mean come on it's a cell but it's a cell with class." Tony says in front of the door with a tone trying to impress you. You roll your eyes at at his little attempt on making jail time sound fun.
"Tony, it might be fancy, but a cell is a cell and no matter how hard you try to make it look good, I'm still going to get stuck here." Your voice held annoyance as you spoke. Why the hell did you have to be stuck in a cell anyways? You did nothing except be visited by an annoying alien thing.
He sighed and only let you in the impressive cage. One over dramatic tour later, and the two mighty were at the threshold of the room.
"You're going to stay here while we try to find Loki, got it?" Cap says in a serious tone, you playfully salute him in return.
"So yeah pretty spectacular right? if you need anything just ask Jarvis to ask me." Tony said making his way out of the cell, Cap following shortly after giving you a soft smile of encouragement.
How did I end up in a cell on the Avengers tower for something I didn't do.
A month ago you went from a normal afternoon in Germany to getting blasted with magic from a guy named Loki with a scepter and ended up in a cell in the Avengers Tower in debt of something that wasn't even your doing.
If someone told you that you would've ended up here a month ago, you would've flipped them off, mumbling how crazy they are.
This is all his fault. He should be locked up here, not me. I'm a victim of his actions. I shouldn't be here!
