"Guys? Someone's here to see you." Steve announced to the gathered team in the living room. They quiet down as both of you step out from the elevator and face the team.

You take off your hat and a pause of silence passed just before screams were heard.

"OH MY GOD"

"Holy shit"

"Y/n!!!"

"You good or here for a fight again?"

Their words were excited but cautious, rightfully so given that you tried to attack them last time you saw them.

"I'm not here to fight, I come at peac-" you raise your hands in surrender to show your lack of bad intentions when an arm suddenly pulled your waist in and a pair of lips meeting yours surprised you.

A deep crimson covered your cheeks and your eyes widen, they moved to the closed pair with a few tears down his cheeks. Loki.

You were too frozen to reciprocate his moves, when he noticed that, he pulled back and looked at your current state, a blush of his own creeping in.

"I- Im sorry, I shouldn't have- you must be so confu-" You cut him off with a peck on the lips.

"I've missed you too."

"Okay cut that off, do all that lovey dovey shit later. Let's talk first to know why Y/n's here." Tony spoke, he was just as excited but wanted to be cautious in case this was Hydra's move, not your own.

"So why are you here?"

You were sat down in the living room with the team gathered around you, intrigued by your sudden appearance and lack of hostility, not that they want that behavior, they're just confused.

"I've had an enlightening week." You chuckled bitterly.

You told them what you told Steve. Loki was right beside you the entire time, his hand over yours as his thumb brushed over your knuckles in support.

"So yeah, got any questions?" As everyone mulled over your words, you waited for the questions.

"Yeah, how do we know it's really you? How can we know you're not just doing this for Hydra?"

"Well, I'm not really sure how to prove myself. If this was a trick by Hydra--If I wanted to kill or take you guys in captivity, there would be Hydra agents swarming the place already, there would be problems with JARVIS and stuff, and I wouldn't have told you what I just started to recover."

"Look, I get it, I know how bad this might look, but believe it or not, I'm looking reconciliation. I'm just here to connect the missing puzzle pieces of my life and if you guys still want to keep at an arms length, I'd understand."

They took in your words and thought it over. They had everything at the upper hand, what you spoke of is true, if this was some ploy, something would've happened already, something suspicious would've made itself known by this time.

Maybe this was the sign the Avengers have been wanting for months now, maybe this is the pay off they've been working for for months now after trying everything to find you. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise that they were cautious to take. Maybe this was finally it.

"Listen, we won't kick you out, we're just trying to make sense of everything after the recent events. You could stay as long as you want, we won't force you to do or say anything just so we would feel satisfied." Steve spoke.
You nodded, a rush of relief crashes over you.

"Maybe Wanda or Loki can take a gander at your memories for a second just so we can feel a bit more at ease? If it's alright with you." Bruce said softly--cautiously.
