"What do you mean Jimin's not here?!"

NO. There was no way Jimin had stood her up! They had a deal, and she did her part by getting that girl's number for him and had even saved some money to buy his damn coffee all next week as she promised... All he had to do was give her his damn papers as he had promised!

"Uh... That he's not here?" Taehyung repeated as he stood in the doorway of the frat house with the door still open behind him. He looked as confused as Areum currently felt, except his confusion wasn't tangled in panic. "Why are you looking for Jimin anyways?" He asked while wiping the sweat from his forehead off with the white rag he held in his hand. He was in his workout clothes and obviously had been in the middle of that, which had her wondering why he was the one to open the door when he wasn't the only one home by the look of many parked cars out front.

She wouldn't admit it, but maybe she was also kind of hoping someone else would have opened the door so she could have gone and looked for a certain person and asked that certain person why they had disappeared on her this morning without a word before she would go meet up with Jimin. This also could be another reason why she was feeling short-tempered this morning. Everything was irritating...

Areum cleared her throat. Not wanting to admit how she was going to copy Jimin's papers. She decided to bend the truth a little bit. "He was going to help me with some homework"

"Jimin was supposed to help you with homework?" Taehyung eyed her suspiciously. "On a Sunday morning?" He added.

"Yes" She tried to confidently say, but even she could tell how hesitant and awkward that single word came out. "Is that surprising?" Areum tried to save herself by sounding offended, but it was no use, she knew Taehyung saw right through it.

He turned around as if he was checking if anyone was nearby inside the house then fully stepped out of the door and closed it behind him. With a heavy sigh, he unexpectedly grabbed Areum by her upper arm and pulled her down the steps. Before she could hiss at him to let go of her, he whispered sternly.

"Please tell me you aren't secretly hooking up with my best friend"

"What?!" Areum held a flabbergasted stare at Taehyung and wondered how the hell did that scenario come into his mind? "No, absolutely not! Why do you think I have my backpack with me?!" She scoffed while shrugging his hold off of her as her face scrunched in disgust, even just thinking about sleeping with Jimin was plain gross and considering the fact he's just a friend and will always remain just a friend!

"Why else would you be lying about why you're looking for him?" He crossed his arms and stared down at her with a look of demand. Like a father scolding his daughter for being out past curfew and demanding to know where she had been. And she'd almost tried to come up with another excuse but then she realized she didn't have to tell him shit. She didn't need to explain herself to Taehyung! Not anymore!

She turned away from him without another word and pulled out her phone to call Jimin. It's what she should've done in the first place and honestly, Areum felt like if Taehyung kept demanding answers, she'd enviably throw a few curses his way. The phone rang. Once. Twice. Three times... then finally Jimin's voice answered with a sleepy hello.

"Don't you hello me asshole! Where the hell are you?!"

"Oh, shit" He replied with what sounded like sudden realization and Areum let out a bitter laugh.
