Monday morning had finally approached after a very interesting weekend, the campus filled with students, anxious for their the first day of the new school year. Some taking their time enjoying the sun peaking through the clouds and others rushing to make it to their first class on time.

Areum sat up in bed while rubbing her tired eyes, yawning and stretching after a good night sleep made her feel relaxed. But the thing was, she felt too relaxed for someone who had went to bed a little later than usual.

Her droopy gaze snapped towards her phone and with frantic fingers turned on the screen to regretfully see she had slept through all three of her alarms, leaving Areum with only an hour to get ready and rush to her class on the other side of campus.

"Crap!" She yelped.

Jumping out of bed and rushing to rummage through her drawers to find a quick decent outfit. Ignoring Ji's groans to turn the light back off because unlike Areum, Ji was smart enough to pick afternoon classes instead of mornings.

Running towards the showers and taking the quickest rinse while also brushing her teeth. Areum didn't even have time to brush her hair, leaving a wet mop on top of her head as she grabbed her backpack and also a hoodie before she took off running to class.

Areum wasn't sure how she did it but somehow she entered the lecture hall literally right on time. Sure, she had to give up her usual stop at the campus café for her morning coffee but it was better not being caffeinated than getting chewed out by the professor for being late on the first day.

All of the seats were taken in the front row which was a bummer because while running around like a chicken without a head, Areum forgot to put on her contacts and seemed to have misplace her glasses.

'This day could not get any worse' She thought as she quickly took a random seat because more students were starting to flood in behind her.

Pulling out a journal for notes and looking for a pen or pencil as the professor introduced themselves, it seemed as if the world was brutally against her today.

She kindly tapped the only person next to her and asked the boy who's head was hidden under his black hoodie if he by chance had an extra writing utensil. He quietly dug through his bag without giving her a glance and luckily for her, he found an extra pen.

Before he could hand it over, the pen rolled out of his hand landing on the floor between the two students. Both turned to reach for it but immediately the two froze as their gazes locked.

'Jungkook...'

The two sat stiff and uncomfortable for the remainder of class, neither daring to glance at the other, keeping their heads faced straight. After what felt like hours, class was finally dismissed and Areum didn't hesitate to pack her things and speed out of class, leaving the pen behind.

Pulling out her phone to check her schedule, she let out a breathe of relief to see that her next class wasn't until noon. Luckily, that gave her about an hour to go back to her dorm to find her glasses and try to compose her nerves especially after seeing him.
