"Can we talk?"
"What?"
She saw his mouth open and close, which must of meant he said something but her ears were ringing so loud that she actually couldn't hear him.
"Is there anyway we could talk? Maybe somewhere private?" Confusion took over her expression before looking around to see none of their friends had followed him out. It was really just the two of them.
"I'm actually on my way to class right now Tae." She froze for a second after she realized the nickname she used to call him, accidentally slipped out.
That nickname was very special to her. Sure, everyone else now uses it to address him as well but apparently she was the first person to ever call him that.
But then again, he also said he would love her and be with her until the end of time. So maybe, that was also a lie.
"Maybe I can walk you?" His tone was hopeful maybe even a bit hesitant? He definitely looked nervous which was completely opposite from what she saw from him when he was in the café not even a few minutes ago.
"I don't think that's a good idea" she spoke quickly then walked around him. Areum wasn't even sure if she was heading the right way but all she knew was she didn't want to be around him at the moment, let alone talk to him.
"Areum!" He called out before running to catch back up to her.
She didn't turn around as she kept her speed walking pace consistent. Only gripping the straps of her backpack that were over her shoulders when she heard his footsteps approaching closer.
"Please" he stepped in front of her again and if she hadn't stopped the moment she did, she would have crashed into his chest.
She let out an annoyed sigh and rolled her eyes, taking a few steps back before deciding to give in. Areum knew if he had to, he would follow her all the way to class. Taehyung was a persistent little thing but that didn't mean she was going to make it easy for him.
"Fine. What do you want" She looked up at him with no emotion, making it painfully obvious she held no interest in this conversation whatsoever.
"Maybe we can sit somewhere-" he was saying while looking around, there were students walking along the side walks and he didn't want to have people eavesdropping.
"No. I need to get to class after this so please hurry up" she gestured with her hand for him to hurry up and start talking, he was a bit taken back by her dismissive behavior.
He knew he deserved it but it didn't make it any less hurtful. He had never seen Areum be so mean before. It definitely caught him off guard, making him choke on his words for a split second.
"O-okay um" he scratched the back of his neck nervously. He had this whole apology speech memorized but her impatient glare made him forget the whole thing.
"I just wanted to apologize for how I left things, I know it wasn't fair to you how I broke things off but I hope you understand I genuinely had your best interest at heart" He spoke facing towards the ground.
"We had been together for practically our whole lives and I knew from the moment we confessed to each other, we were gonna be together for the rest of our live and- and I still do think that, but it scared me.
