Chapter 4: Confession

"Mckenzie, you're avoiding me." He seriously said infront of me, completely ignoring the students that are staring at us.

I look around the hallway and I really promise that everyone is looking at us. "I don't know what you're trying to say Mr. Gile. Excuse me..."

He grab my hand tightly. "Aren't I friendly to you?"

"You are." I said. "But you see, those students doesn't want to make friends with me because they accused me that I am in a relationship with you!" I hissed enough for the both of us to hear. I grab
my hand from his. "I don't know if you are aware of that. Please excuse me."

I excused myself, leaving him alone in the hallway.

People may think what they want to think and I don't think I care but I'm afraid I would be a villain in these school for chatting with their Enzo. Gosh! It's been Two weeks since Willow is avoiding me and avoiding Enzo.

"Late ka na naman." Muntik nang umikot ang mga mata ko dahil nakatayo si Keyshawn sa pintuan na mukhang may hinihintay.

Tumaas ang isang kilay ko. "Eh ano naman kung late ako?"

"Nandoon si Willow sa upuan niya, hindi nga ako pinansin kanina eh. Pero hinahap ka niya kanina sa akin."

Tumingin ako sa kinauupuan ni Willow tapos bumuntong-hininga bago hinila si Keyshawn sa rooftop.

"Bakit mo ako dinala dito?" Tanong niya.

"Kinakabahan kasi ako, alam mo na, may gusto siya kay Enzo diba nga?"

"Eh ano naman?"

Tiningnan ko siya ng masama. "Sa tingin mo bakit ako tinanong sa iyo?"

Bumuntong-hininga siya tapos ay humalukipkip. "Ewan."

Tinuro ko siya. "Kapag ako mapapahamak dito, sasabihin ko kay Venus na single ka."

Lumaki ang mga mata niya at hindi makapaniwalang tumingin sa akin. "Kapag sasabihin mo iyan pag-uuntugin ko kayo ni Willow. Ang galing niyong mandamay sa problema niyo ah."

Tumawa ako tapos ay tinapik siya sa balikat. "Relax pre, hindi ka naman mawawalan ng malay kung dinadamay ka namin."

Nang tumunog ang kampana ay pumasok kami sa paaralan namin at pinagsabihan kaming pumunta sa library.

"Pwedeng makiupo?" Tanong ko kay Willow at nang sinulyapan ako ay tumango. Pinanlakihan ko ng mga mata ko si Keyshawn na nasa gilid ko nang bigla nalang niya akong pinisil sa gilid ng tiyan. "Ano ba?" Mahina ngunit nagbabantang ani ko kay Keyshawn.

Nagulat ako nang inilapit niya ang bibig niya sa teynga ko. "If the looks could kill." Aniya tapos ay umayos ng upo.

"Who?" I asked quietly.

"Can't I join your conversation?"

I glared at Keyshawn before I swifted my position to face Willow.

"Keyshawn was just telling me nonsense, don't mind him."

"How are you these past few days?" She suddenly asked the reason why I pinched Keyshawn's elbow.

"Uhm... I'm not okay. You?" I asked and when she didn't talk I cleared my throat. "About Enzo and I, there's no going on between us. I hope you can forgive me..."

Shock was written in her face but it quickly vanished. "He's not the reason and you're not the reason why I've been avoiding you these past few days. The reason is just that I want to be alone for atleast days or weeks. That's why, I'm sorry."
