Chapter 16

Perrie's POV:

I was on my way to Syco alone. For some reason Simon and Nathan wanted to speak to me alone.

It's been 9 months since Beth and I got back from South Shields. Since then loads of stuff happened.

For one, we got Nicki Minaj on one of our tracks for LM5 which is unreal.

We had another tour but it was a small one after the Glory Days Tour ended.

LM5 is produced and promo was nonexistent.

I arrived in front of Syco and sighed, why the hell do they want to speak to me alone?

I made my way to the meeting room where they waited for me.

"Now... Perrie, we've known each other a long time now. I think we have an understanding." Nathan started.

I internally rolled my eyes.

"We know you love your life in Little Mix, but we think you have too much potential. Let's not let it go to waste by letting you stay in the band." Nathan said.

What the fuck is wrong with them? Why are they so hellbent on making one of us leave?

"Uh... no." I said easily.

Simon raised his eyebrow.

"What do you mean no?" He asked.

Out of us all, I was the most hesitant to talk back to them. Especially now with my anxiety I have a lot of trouble.

"I don't want that. I want to stay with Little Mix." I said.

"What is wrong with you people?!" Nathan asked frustrated.

"We are offering you the route of having the entire spotlight and more freedom in your music. Who is so stupid and rejects that?" He asked incredulously.

"How stupid are you two? I retorted defensively.

"Excuse me?" He said.

"Can't you see how much we love each other? How we cherish each other every day? How we'd give up ourselves for the other in seconds? What we've all had to endure, sticking together through all of it? You can't break a friendship like that. Try, you'll fail. Let's be real, since Fifth Harmony and One Direction broke up you don't have nearly as much money as you'd like. We are basically your last hope. At least use your last chance and promote us. If you'd give us half of the things you gave One Direction, we'd already have taken over the world." I said.

They looked at me dumbfounded.

"So no. I won't go solo." I said and left the building after that.

"What?!" The girls all yelled shocked.

"Yeah, they want me now to go solo." I said.

"Why are they so obsessed on making one of us go solo?" Leigh asked frowning.

"We are too strong together. They want to tear us apart to create drama, and the one that goes solo will win it all after the band inevitably breaks up." Jade concluded.

"Yeah but that could never be us." Leigh said.

I sighed. I hate Syco so fucking much.

Beth was raging as soon as she found out. We are now more than ever rushing to get out of this shitty management.

How I wish we had never signed in with Simon Cowell.

"Joan of Arc got leaked." Jesy said looking at her phone.

"You've got to be joking." Leigh said.

"Nope." Jesy said.

"Who do you think it was?" I asked.

"Who else except for Simon and Nathan?" Beth asked.

Fucking idiots.

We were getting ready to fly to America. We are gonna be performing at the MTV EMA's with Nicki.

"Let's not let this ruin our mood. We are gonna leave them after LM5 anyway." Jade said.

"We have an entire music video done. Are we seriously not releasing it?" Leigh asked.

"What else are we meant to do?" Beth said.

We had our ritual for when we got frustrated. Throwing fruits against the wall.

"So you won't sign in with us again?" Simon asked in our meeting, final one hopefully.

"Of course not." Beth said.

"Who else will you go to?" He asked smugly.

"Already researched, we will go to RCA." Jade said.

"Well then. Enjoy. Your LM5 era will flop because there is gonna be a lot of disorganisation. Shouldn't have changed labels." Nathan stated trying to make us regret it.

"You should be the one regretting treating us like this, you're losing us, not we are losing you. You've got no big bands left to terrorise. 1D and 5H quit you, and we will leave. Have fun with the downfall of Syco and just wait for our next album." Beth said and we all stood up and left.

We all smiled at each other after leaving.

"We are finally free. Well... not from Columbia but at least from Simon and Nathan." Jade said.

Finally.

Beth and I were at home, resting up a little.

We were watching a movie whilst she laid on my arms and she feel asleep while watching.

I was thinking about when we were gonna make it public. Now isn't the time, but at least now we have the freedom of doing whatever we want.

We had our contract with RCA looked at with five different lawyers, including Sam, just to make sure nothing could screw us over.

It included that we can date whoever we want, even if it's someone from the band.

I smiled and kissed her head. She's so cute.

She has been quiet again lately but I finally understood that it can't be changed, sometimes you've gotta have these time periods where you are kinda down.

Travis and Hatchi jumped onto the couch and laid down on Beth.

"You can be happy she likes you two." I talked to them in my dog voice.

Beth wasn't really that fond of dogs which I at first found very offending as a dog lover.

Her biggest problem was being disgusted by having to clean up their poo and the hair.

But Hatchi and Travis wormed their way into her heart.

Sometimes they both get jealous of one of us, depending on their mood, its either they want Beth or they want me.

I smiled, I love this little family we have. Hopefully one day we'll have a real family.

A/N: Guys, the Jesy drama isn't gonna be included in this story. I can't even express how heartbroken I felt with all the drama that's happening.

One of the main reasons I fell in love with Little Mix was because of their friendship. Now that Jesy is behaving like this I don't know how to feel.

However, I'm gonna continue to write Jesy in this story as the version I remember her as.

The caring, inspiring, loving and supportive friend and bandmate.
