Chapter 17

Beth's POV:

"Ich bin hier mit den Girls von Little Mix," our interviewer said in german while we listened.

"Hey girls how are you?" She asked us all.

"Fine, how are you?" Perrie asked kindly while we all smiled.

"I'm great thanks!" She said.

"So we are gonna play who's most likely, but before that I have fan questions that wait to be answered." She said.

I wasn't paying all that much attention feeling a little tired.

"So first question, and believe it or not, it was the most asked one, now that you've finally left Syco, are Perrie and Beth together or not?" She asked.

I heard Perrie speak up, "Who knows." She winked.

"There's no 'straight' answer." Jade made a word play.

"I guess we'll leave it at that." The interviewer laughed.

She continued with the same old question after that one bomb question.

"Thanks so much girls!" The interviewer said and we smiled and left after replying.

"Well that was a hell of a starting question." Jesy said in the car.

"Yeah but it wasn't as nerve wrecking anymore. If it comes out, it's not a big deal." Perrie shrugged.

"I'm just surprised the fans are still holding onto that. It's been a long time ago since I saw tweets or posts related to our relationship." I said.

"They were quietly observing." Leigh joked.

We had the rest of our interviews and finally Perrie and I went home.

I made a small snack for us. We were planning on taking a small walk after that.

I served the plates and called Perrie. I filled up Travis and Hatchi's food bowls and Perrie entered.

"Thanks bubs." She said and kissed me.

"Not a problem." I smiled at her.

"I wanted to ask you something." She said as we sat down.

"What's up?" I asked taking a small bite of my food.

"Why were you so awkward when the interviewer asked about us being together?" She asked frowning.

I dropped my fork and swallowed the bite in my mouth.

"What do you mean?" I asked clueless.

"You tensed up when she asked that question, why?" She asked again.

"I didn't." I said frowning. I don't recall tensing up. The question surprised me but I didn't really tense up.

"Are you not ready for people to find out?" She asked.

"Of course I am. I'm not afraid to be out in the open. I think it is obvious to them that I'm not into men at all. After all I never even had anyone by my side publicly. Or privately except for you." I said.

"Okay." She said leaving it at that.

Afterwards came silence and I was confused, why is she doubting if I want to come out? Maybe because she has fears of coming out?

"Are you sure you want that as of now? Are you not ready?" I asked.

She sighed, "I don't know. I'm a hundred percent certain about us, but I'm afraid of the outside world."
