Chapter 43

Beth's POV:

After we all sat together for a little while the door bell rang again which Noah went to open.

Karl and Shirin along with Jade and their kids arrived.

Noah told me that after our disbanding he stopped talking to their siblings as well and they didn't bother talking to him either so their friendship kind of dwindled a little.

"Hey mate." He said to Karl who also smiled at him.

Shirin also greeted him while Amara immediately ran past him and jumping on my lap.

"I'm mad at you!" She announced crossing her arms.

I looked at her surprised and then said, "Why is that?"

"You never came to play with me anymore." She said puffing her tiny cheeks.

I felt a little guilty for abandoning everyone and didn't really know what to tell her.

"You didn't even come to my birthdays." She said now more sad.

My heart burned a little at that and I sighed, "I'm sorry. I promise to be there for all of your next birthdays. Deal?" I asked hoping she was still as forgiving as she used to be.

She pondered for a bit and then smiled which revealed two of her missing teeth, "Deal." Then she hugged me.

I smiled as well and the adults were all watching with fond expressions.

"Scoot off Amara." Baby Karl said also crossing his arms standing in front of me.

With him I noticed way more how much he had grown.

"You once promised me to come by at least every month." He said squinting his eyes.

"Yeah I broke that one huh?" I said in thought.

"Mhmm." He hummed.

"How about this, I'll make you a new promise. If you promise to not hold that grudge, I'll make it two times a month and will not break that one?" I asked.

He looked to his parents as if asking their opinion on my bargain. They both smiled and nodded then he looked back and threw his arms around me.

"Deal." He said and then ran off to where Amara was with Perrie, probably also talking to her about how she abandoned them for three years.

I then stood up and greeted Karl and Shirin.

"Oh I've missed having you around." Shirin said while we hugged.

I smiled and Karl hugged me as well and said, "I'm happy we all are talking again."

After pulling away I said, "Me too."

With Jade I simply hugged her since I saw her just a few days ago.

Leoni who seemed a lot more confident than she did a few years back looked at me smiling slightly.

"Don't think I forgot about you." I said hugging her and messing up her hair much like Noah does to me.

She wasn't bothered by that at all though, "I missed you." She simply said hugging me again and I smiled.

Leigh was the next one to join along with Sairah and Kailum. Kailum apparently also was upset with me but was just as easily satisfied as Amara and Baby Karl.

Sam came and brought Steve along, him and I also catching up after not seeing each other for so long.

Last but not least, Jonnie and Caitlin joined us.
