( Brunette bombshell! )

"BUT- PERCY-," Nicoletta bit her lip in confusion, looking back at Celeste who was a hundred percent checking Percy out, and then at the boy himself who was staring at her as if she had just grown two heads.

"Listen, 'Letta," he stepped out of the elevator, making his way over to the girl who blushed at the nickname. "There is a blockade of those creepy skeleton guys downstairs, and-and you're the only one who can kill them-" he grabbed her elbow and tugged her closer to him. "We've got to go!"

"Oh, great. He's nuts." Celeste whined, tearing her eyes away from him. "Have fun on your, like, skeleton escapade, Nicoletta." Celeste gave a fake smile then walked to the staircase slowly, making the impression that she just wanted to leave, instead she hit the fire alarm that set off flashing red lights and ran down the steps smirking wildly and sending everyone into a panic.

She huffed at the girl, who was technically but not genetically her sister, and turned to Percy, yanking her arm from his grip.

"Great company you keep." He blurted, pushing the down! button over and over.

"Must be, because I follow you around," Nicoletta said back sarcastically, leaning against the wall and watching as Percy cursed the elevator out. "She's a half-blood. Aphrodite."

The elevator dinged open. "How'd you know?"

"She tried to use charmspeak on me." Percy snorted as they entered the elevator. "Go ahead and laugh but did you see what she was wearing? I'd totally rock those pants on a daily basis."

Percy gave an unimpressed eyebrow, heel bubbling against the metal floor as he waited for the doors to open with anticipation.

"What was she saying to you? Y'know, in Italian." Percy breathed, trying to distract himself from the fact that his friends were just a floor down.

"Do you really want to know?" Nicoletta snortled.

"Now I really do." Percy pursed his lips, trying not to show his deep interest. He watched as Nicoletta held back her laughs through tight lips.

"She thought you were cute-" Percy puffed his chest. Grinning while running a hand through his hair. "-then mentally ill."

"Oh, gee." Percy's chest deflated. "Thanks for that one bombshell."

The girl stuffed her hand into her cardigan, feeling a satin scrunchie in it. A message from her mother, something like 'you're gonna need this, honey' Nicoletta supposed. She ran a hand through her brunette hair, tying it in a tight ponytail. "She's a Diamanté."
