HIS GIRL WAS NOW LOVE CRAZY, and he couldn't help but drool.

FEBRUARY: 14th, 2:45 pm. BIRTHDAY SADNESS

Percy Jackson was counting down the minutes to the girl's birthday hour. Busted in his head with excitement but also nervous because a month ago Nicoletta Rossi, ( the daughter to the Goddess of love, and beauty ) had stopped returning the boy's iris messages.

Fidgeting with the strings of his blue hoodie Percy glanced at the clock of his bedside table 2:48 pm it read. He groaned, sat on his bed was a slightly destroyed party hat, courtesy of him sitting on it, and a couple of Dramchas, in case she didn't answer the first time, he was prepared.

At 2:55 he realized something was up. See, Percy was an intelligent boy with just dumb moments. He knew that the girl had her own existential crisis prophecy as well and the last time she had iris'd messaged him ( while he was brushing his teeth, embarrassing ) she seemed, just, off. Like she had just been told that she overfed her beta fish and it died. Trust him, he'd done it before and it sucks. He could tell because her bottom lip was slightly trembled and jutted, her eyebrows were being pulled together by an invisible force, and she kept biting at her words.

It's 2:59 and Percy was mumbling to himself, eager to see her face but trying to compose himself seeing as his mother was down the hall sleeping. He played with his fingers, trying to create a corporeal mist strong enough to hold an iris message and after a few attempts after his hands cramping up it worked.  Cursing himself for not putting down a towel on his now wet bed, Percy stood to turn on his lamp, hoping it would create a rainbow because he didn't think this far in the plan.

"Oh, Iris, Goddess of the rainbow, accept my offering." He whispered under his breath, dimpled cheeks awaiting the girl to appear.

And at 3:00 pm, Nicoletta didn't answer.
