You're Really Important To Me

TW kind of talk of rape, and being really cold

I sat on the floor of the cave crying. Would I ever actually be free?

1st Person POV (Bucky)

I sat straight upright in my bed, accidentally waking Steve, breathing heavily.

"Buck?" I heard my boyfriend's sleepy voice next to me. I sighed, I hadn't meant to wake him up.

"I'm sorry Stevie, just a nightmare. You can go back to sleep." I placed a soft kiss on his forehead.

"Want to talk about it?" He asked, sitting up. I turned away slightly so he didn't see the tears in my eyes.

"No, I'm okay."

"Buck, we both know that's not true." I sighed again and turned back around to face him. As soon as he saw the tears, he pulled me into a hug. Honestly, I could hug Steve all day. I felt safe. I felt like no matter what was happening, I would be safe in his arms.

I felt him press a soft kiss to my temple and say

"You don't need to tell me Buck, but remember that I'm here for you. I am your boyfriend after all." He added the last part with a goofy grin. I laughed at his adorable face.

I opened my mouth to tell him when our attention was drawn outside. We heard the sound of Tony's Iron Man thrusters warming up and I looked outside to see two figures fly past our window.

I was confused for a second until it hit me. Alexandrya! But where was she going? And why was Tony chasing her?

We stepped outside in a couple of minutes when we heard Tony's suit returning.

"What's up, Tony?" I asked. He landed on our balcony and stepped out of the suit. I wasn't expecting to see the guilt-stricken expression on his face.

"She's gone. I have no idea where she went. I tried to follow her but she just disappeared somewhere over there."

"Who is, Tony?" Steve asked.

"Alexandrya. She was down in the training room when I walked in. She started having a panic attack. I helped her calm down. I tried to give her a hug and she took off." He looked genuinely distraught.

Why would a hug set her off that much? I wondered to myself. Then it hit me. I remembered what that guard did. My eyes widening, I ran back into the room threw a hoodie on since it was a little cold outside, and left the room.

I ran out of the palace and towards the place Tony said she disappeared.

I was soon stopped by none other than my boyfriend.

"Buck, come on, it's pitch black. We won't find her in this. Let's wait until morning. She's strong and smart. I promise we'll look for her first thing in the morning."

I really hate when he makes good points. I nodded and walked back with him.

1st Person POV (Alexandrya)

I breathed a sigh of relief as soon as I heard Tony's suit flying over me in the direction of the palace. I mentally apologized for running, but it's not like he cared too much. I barely knew him.

I looked around the cave. It wasn't terribly big, but it was a decent size for one person. I didn't know how long I was going to stay here, but I couldn't go back. I'd just lead HYDRA straight to them.

I summoned a small amount of water and had it form that layer of protection around me. I hoped it would also provide a little bit of warmth, but all it did was make it colder. I knew that I needed the protection more than I needed warmth, so I left it on.
