I'll Be With You Soon Mama

TW sadness, torture, SA, and sadness again.

It was cold. Freezing cold. Then darkness.

1st Person POV (Alexandrya - Bucky's punishment)

"We've seen how close you guys are getting, so you'll be in charge of her punishment today. I'm feeling kind today, so how about 15 lashes?" God, I hated that man. I hated that man with every fiber of my being. Lashings were something I could take, but he was making Bucky do it. Bucky'll never forgive himself. Looking into his eyes, I mouthed the words

"It's okay. It's not your fault." Then I closed my eyes and let Shadow take over. She could handle this better.

I forced myself to a dark corner of my mind. I stayed there until Shadow came to me.

(A/N: Shadow and Alexandrya have a somewhat decent relationship. Since Shadow was created by Alexandrya not HYDRA, they get along better than Winter and Bucky)

"It's over now," Shadow said to me.

"He's gonna hate himself."

"Yes, but you have to be there to make sure he doesn't. He needs you." She took my hand, pulled me up, and briefly embraced me. 

"Prepare yourself for what's next. I don't know what cryo is, but you and he are about to find out." She whispered to me before putting me back in control.

I opened my eyes and the first thing I felt was cold. Freezing, numbing cold. Then it was dark and I felt nothing.

~~Time Skip - 63 years~~

It was cold. I blinked open my eyes. I remembered being shoved into a cold tube and then nothing. Was that cryo? Then I noticed Bucky was gone. Where was he?

Two unfamiliar people walked in. 

"Saben was telling the truth, she really does have wings." I blinked at them. The older one looked at me.

"Alright, Shadow here's the deal. Saben, or as you knew him, Doctor, is dead. He left you to me. You belong to me now, understand?" I nodded.

Doctor was dead? How? When? How long was I in the tube? Shocks ran up and down my back. 

"You will listen to me when I speak to you." Lowering my head I looked at the ground, waiting for instructions.

"With The Winter Soldier gone, you are HYDRA's greatest weapon." He smiled cruelly. I hated him more than Doctor. 

Wait, The Winter Soldier is gone? Bucky? No. Not Bucky.

"You've been asleep for 63 years, time to get you back in shape." 63 YEARS?! How is that possible? I didn't know what was happening. Suddenly a large burst of energy flooded the room, knocking everyone down. It came from me. I didn't even know I had that ability. What was that? Guards quickly restrained me and I was lead away.

~Time Skip - One year ~

3rd Person POV (Alexandrya)

The past year had been filled with training and missions. More witnesses were left alive. More children orphaned. More burns. More tally marks. There were close to one hundred now. Her back was a mess. Normally they'd fade into scars, but since she was the Lady of water and the sea, fire affected her a lot more strongly than a normal person. Every time she saw her back in a mirror, she sighed. The HYDRA brand along with the tally mark scars stood out against her pale white skin. Alexandrya had stopped waiting for Bucky to return a long time ago. The day Pierce told her that he was dead, broke her, but she had no choice but to believe him.
