"Please be okay, Lex. Please"
1st Person POV (Alexandrya)
I slowly opened my eyes and quickly squeezed them shut when the bright lights hit them. I waited a bit, then slowly opened them again, this time slowly adjusting to the light. I took in my surroundings and immediately started to panic. I was in a lab. HYDRA had caught me again. I quickly ripped the wires and cords off of me and jumped out of the bed. The door burst open and a disheveled looking Tony ran in muttering
"Shit shit shit." I froze. Why would Tony be at HYDRA?
"Tony?"
"Give me a second, something happened and the computers aren't working."
"But Tony, I-"
"Lex, I need to figure this out really quick, okay?"
"Okay," I whispered. Then he turned to face me.
"It's because they're not connected to you. Wait you're awake. Wait you're standing up. Nonono. You need to lay back down." He walked over to me and led me back to the bed.
"What about the computers?" I asked, trying to stall my return to the bed.
"It's because they weren't attached to you anymore." We reached the bed and I sat down. I could feel the panic creeping back in at the thought of being in HYDRA's lab. I needed to escape and I needed to get Tony out with me.
I reached up and felt my neck, checking for the collar, thankfully they hadn't put it on yet.
"Tony?"
"Yeah?"
"Did they get you too?" He looked at me confused.
"Did who get me?"
"HYDRA. That's where we are, right?" His face softened.
"No, we're at the compound. You're safe." He reached a hand out towards me, which made me flinch. I looked down which caused me to miss the flash of sadness in his eyes at my reaction.
"Is Bucky safe too? Did they get him again?"
"No, Lex. Bucky's up in his room. I can have FRIDAY get him if you want." Tony offered.
"No. Just promise me he's safe and here." Tony smiled.
"I promise." I knew he was telling the truth. I was the Goddess of Promises, and I had made it so he couldn't promise me that unless it's true.
A/N: basically the promise part of her magic makes it so, when she uses it on someone, any promises they make have to be held. She doesn't like using it often because it makes her feel like she's taking away their free will.
"What about Scott? Is he safe too? And Nat? And Clint? And -" Tony cut me off
"Everyone's fine, Lex. I promise. We're all here, we're all safe." I smiled a small smile at him.
"You should go get some sleep, Tony. It looks like you haven't slept in a while." I gently told him.
"I'm not big on sleep." He shrugged. I glared at him.
"But yeah, maybe I will go sleep. Goodnight, Lex. Tell FRIDAY if you need anything, okay?"
"I will. Thank you." He smiled and left. I was alone again.
"Hey FRIDAY?" I whispered.
"Hello, Lady Alexandrya. How may I help?" A feminine robotic voice came from the ceiling.
