"Because I'm coming with you."
1st Person POV (Alexandrya)
I packed very lightly. Bringing a few things that I would need. Thor said that there would be clothes and toiletries there for me. I was planning on bringing some books back with me, so I brought a couple of empty bags, along with some of my training clothes just in case I didn't like the Asgardian ones.
"Heimdall!" Thor's voice boomed. The familiar lights of the Bifrost swept over me, then they were gone.
I looked around and felt tears prick my eyes. I was here. I wasn't dead.
"Welcome back my King, my Prince, and welcome back, Lady Lex." I looked over and saw Heimdall. A ran over to him and threw my arms around him.
"I missed you, Papa," I whispered as he held me close to him. With my real father constantly leaving, Heimdall became a father figure to me. I would spend countless hours with him in the Observatory studying or learning from him.
Letting go of him, I turned to Thor and Loki.
"Let's go to the palace," Loki said, reaching out his hand. I grinned at him and took off into the air. Laughing at the feeling of weightlessness it brought before taking off towards the castle in the distance.
I arrived not long after they did and was greeted with a happy familiar face.
"Malkia?" I laughed as she tackled me to the ground. I ran my fingers through the soft fur of my wolf.
"This one missed you a great deal while you were gone. Though she favored Loki." Thor said, sounding somewhat disappointed that he wasn't the wolf's favorite.
"I wouldn't expect anything less from my girl." I had missed my companion dearly. She was the runt of the litter, but I loved her anyway.
"I hate to break up this reunion, but we have time before dinner to visit the library. I believe you wanted books right?" Loki said, smiling.
"Indeed I did." I stood up and walked with Loki to the library, Malkia following close behind us.
This place was even larger than the bookstore Scott had taken me to. Loki walked through it like it was nothing special, but then again he had lived here his whole life.
"It's amazing." I said, smiling. Loki turned to me
"Oh, I know I am." He said with a teasing grin.
"Not you Lokes, the library." I said smiling. He grinned and said
"I have a book I know you'll love. Let me go grab it." With that, he walked over to a shelf and disappeared behind it.
When Loki reappeared, she was no longer he. She had gorgeous long black hair that tumbled down to her waist in waves. Her long emerald robes were replaced with a beautiful emerald gown with gold accents woven through. But no matter how different she looked, she was still Loki.
"It's a book of children's tales. I thought it would be something of interest." She said, looking slightly nervous about her change of appearance.
"Oh my gosh! You remembered!" I exclaimed excitedly. Children's stories had always been my favorite things for my father to tell me. My mother rarely told me Asgardian ones before she passed.
We spent hours in the massive library before a servant came to fetch us for dinner. As I walked down the halls, I felt a small sense of dread. I knew Odin was dead, but part of me wasn't convinced.
I felt a wet nose press into my hand. Looking down, I saw Malkia right next to me.
"I'm okay girl, just a little stressed." Malkia always had a talent for being able to sense my emotions.
