Patrol

A/N: FYI araña means spider. I use that a lot in this chapter and I don't feel like rewriting the translation over and over again so I'm putting it here.

I finally felt like I had a home. Like I had a family.

1st Person POV (Alexandrya)

"So, araña. What do you normally do on these patrols?" I ask Peter over dinner.

"I help the little guy! The Avengers deal with the big world threatening problems and I help out with the smaller problems. You know, like bank robberies, muggings, fires. Things like that. I once helped an old lady and she bought me a churro. It was really nice." Peter continued to talk about the different adventures he'd had while on patrol. He sounded so excited about it.

"Okay okay okay. Are you ready to go?" He bounced up and down excitedly.

"Kid. No getting hurt today. Do you understand? I'm tired of being woken up at three in the morning because you got shot or stabbed." Tony told Peter.

"I know, Mr. Stark. I promise I'll be careful." He said.

"Meet me on the roof!" He yelled as he ran out of the room. I laughed and headed up to the roof.

When Peter arrived, he was in his suit. (I like to imagine the one from Homecoming)

"Don't you need a suit or something?" He asked me as he looked at me.

"Nah, not for this kind of thing. I'll just use water." I laughed lightly at the confused look he gave me and watched as his eyes filled with awe as I formed the layer of protection with water.

"That is SO cool! Are you ready? Yeah? Let's Go!" And with that, he jumped off the roof. My heart dropped and I dove off to catch him. He shot a web and started to swing just before he hit the ground.

"Jesus, araña, you're going to give me a heart attack." I shouted at him to which he laughed.

"Mr. Stark said the same thing!" He replied.

"Why don't you call him Tony?" I asked.

"I was always taught to be polite. I suppose it's a habit to call him Mr. Stark instead of Tony." He responded.

Suddenly he gasped and changed directions. Swinging towards the faint sound of a gunshot. We arrived just in time to stop a burglary.

"Araña, I've got the hostages. Can you handle the men until I get back?" I asked.

"Yeah, I've got it!" He answered.

I had finished helping the last two hostages escape when one grabbed my arm.

"Who are you?" Her question stopped me.

"I'm no one important. I'm just trying to do something right for a change." The lady smiled at me.

"Everyone's important, dear, don't sell yourself short." She smiled and then walked off.

I ran back to where Peter was only to find all the men webbed up.

"Took you long enough. I finished ages ago." He said jokingly. I rolled my eyes at him and we took off again.

The rest of the night was fairly uneventful. A few small crimes here or there, but nothing too bad. Peter and I were sitting on the roof of a building, looking out over the city.

"You know, earlier at that robbery, I heard you. I heard what you said to that woman." He said, not looking at me but talking to me nonetheless.

"Oh?"
