"Fight! Fight like your life depended on it!" Mordo's fist connected with Stephens jaw making him fall to the ground. Strange groaned as he rubbed his jaw.
"Mordo! Are you bullying your students again?" A angelic voice said. A figure walked up next to the sorcerer, taking down the hood it revealed a breath taking woman, with hair like silk. She looked down at the doctor rubbing his jaw and smiled.
"I don't bully. I make them stronger."
"Sure you do!" She reached down and held out a hand, helping up the man on the floor. She looked over him and tilted her head.
"He looks strong already, you can tone it down a bit." With that she walked away leaving Stephen with questions in his head. The two men got back into fighting positions and continued.
"Who was that?" Stephen said dodging Mordos punch.
"That was Y/N." He lunged at him and grabbed his neck putting him in a chokehold. Strange elbowed his side and he released him. Rubbing his neck he looked back at the hooded woman.
"Is she new?"
"No more questions, fight." They continued to fight for another hour, finally when it was time to stop the mysterious woman had vanished, no where to be seen.
"So you gonna answer me?" Stephen asked grabbing his water.
"She isn't new. She's been here for 10 years." Mordo replied.
"10?! Why'd she come here?"
"Same like you. To be healed."
"From what?"
Mordo grabbed his stuff.
"It is not my place to tell you. Ask her yourself." He walked away, leaving Stephen alone.

-Two days later-
It was a calm morning, the sun had just started to peek over the mountains. Stephen had already been up for an hour used to being up early from his doctoring days. As he walked around Kamar-Taj he admired all of its beauty. Since day one he's been attracted to it's beautiful trees and the mountains behind the temples. He walked into the garden that was filled with flowers and trees, he took a seat and started to read a book from the library when someone approached behind him.
"The book of Cagliostro?"
His head turned back, jolted by the voice. Standing behind him was the girl he saw two days ago.
"Did you steal it?" She smirked at him, knowing Wong didn't give it to him.
"I didn't steal it." He furrowed his eyebrows and looked back down.
"Yes you did." She laughed.
"Wong would've never given that book to someone like you."
He lifted his head up.
"Someone like me?"
"Yes."
"What does that mean?"
"You're reckless. Reckless people aren't allowed to read such books."
"I'm not reckless!" He scoffed.
She lifted her eyebrow, knowing of his past.
"You sped while driving in the rain. Swerved in and out of cars. Then you crashed. Not to mention you were looking down at X-Rays while this all happened."
She waited for his rebuttal but he didn't have one. He knew she was right.
"Fine. I stole it." He mumbled and went back to reading.
"And you're trying to read the rest of it before Wong notices?"
"Maybe."
She chuckles at him. His eyes were swiftly reading the words, trying to get as much information as he could.
"What's your desire Mr. Strange?"
"Excuse me?"
"The reason you came here. Your desire."
"That's none of your business." He replied without taking his eyes of the pages. She smiled to herself, already knowing.
"Strange!" Wongs voice boomed across the quiet campus. His head snapped up knowing he noticed the book missing.
"Uh oh! Someone's in big trouble." She had a pretend shocked look on her face.
"Shut up." He threw the book into his bag of things and tried to leave but Wong was already making his way towards the two.
"Where is it! Give it to me!" Wong demanded.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Y/N rolled her eyes at his obvious lie.
"I saw it on the cameras. You made a portal into the library while I was away!"
Y/N knew he was going to get kicked out for what he did and she felt bad for some reason. She knew why he was here, and she knew how much he desired to be healed, to get his old life back. So she had to make a decision.
"Wong." Her soft voice broke the tension. She walked in front of Strange and stood talking to the angry sorcerer.
"It's not his fault. I asked him to get it for me."
"And why would you want it?" He cocked a brow.
"I wanted to learn more about... the pages that Kaecillius took." She looked down trying to conceal her smile from lying.
He waited a minute and sighed.
"Just give it back, I won't tell anyone." She looked up and smiled at him. Taking the book from Stephens bag she laid it in Wongs hands and off he went book in hand.
"Thanks! Now I don't have a book!" He started to stop away.
"Hey! I saved your ass!" She grabbed his arm and he turned around. She saw how his hands shook and the scars that decorated his fingers. He ripped his hand away and pulled it behind his back.
"I'm sorry...but you would've gotten kicked out. You would've never been able to heal your hands."
He exhaled a deep breath.
"....thank you. I owe you one I guess."
"Perfect! You can start tomorrow!"
She walked past him leaving the garden.
"Wait what?"
"Tomorrow. You can pay what you owe. I want to learn more about you Strange. Meet me here after training." She winked and walked away.
