Flying Lessons~Sam

As you make your way into the main room of the building, you're greeted by hellos.
"Hey guys." You respond. You look around and notice someone's missing.
"Where's Sam?" You ask.
"Oh I think he's outside testing out his new wings." Wanda says.
You walk out the compound to see Sam flying around. He flys above you.
"Woah watch it there pigeon!" Y/N shouts.
"Sorry Y/N!!" He flies down.
"Its fine. It's actually really intriguing how you have such good control with the wings."
"It's pretty easy." Sam says. He notices her eyeing the wings.
"Wanna try it out?"
"Ha no thanks i'd like to keep my bones intact." They replies.
"Oh come on! It's easy, i'll talk you through it."
Y/N thinks for a moment.

"Alright fine, but if i get hurt once i'm done."
"Deal"
Sam takes of the pack and lets you try on his wings. You hover above the ground for a moment.
"Alright good! Now just take off."
You push off and start flying higher.
"Okay okay i want down now!"
"You're fine! You're doing great!" Sam yells.
You slowly get used to the wings and start flying higher doing slight turns.
"This is actually pretty fun!" Y/N yells down.
"Told you! You're doing great!"
As you start to fly, you feel the nanotech start to sputter. Cautiously you come back down from the sky, as you're about to reach the ground, the wings suddenly give out. Sam runs under to catch you.
"AHHH" You yelp.
You fall and land on him. As you two lay on the ground you look at each other and start busting out laughing.
"I am never doing that again" Y/N says between giggles.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, Im fine" They say smiling at him.

Y/N gets up and puts out a hand for Sam. Taking off the wing pack and handing it to him.
"It's a work in progress. I'll fix a couple wires then we'll try again" Sam says walking back to the compound.
"No way." They say patting his shoulder.
"Oh come on! You did really good!" He turns with pleading eyes.

They always had a good relationship. Of course as years went on they both started having feelings for one another. Y/N thought for a second. Looking at his face, waiting for the response.
"Fine. I'll try it again"  finally giving in.
"Yes!"
Sam hesitated before speaking.
"....it's a date then..?"
Y/N smiles slightly, over come with joy on the inside.
"It's a date Wilson." Going forward and kissing his cheek.
Y/N makes their way more in the compound, leaving him a blushing mess. As he watches them walk he can't help but get excited for their next flying lesson.
