Y/N sighed as she unlocked her apartment door. Shutting the door behind her, she threw her bag onto the table and kicked off her shoes. Closing her eyes she rolled her neck back to relieve the pain from her long day at the hospital. Y/N was a surgeon and today was especially hard, she had just gotten home from a 48 hour shift and she was exhausted. She opened her eyes as she heard Bucky running down the hallway from their bedroom. Her boyfriend ran up to her and engulfed her into a big bear hug. She giggled and squeezed back. "You're home! I missed you so much!" He expressed and kissed her lips as he put her down. She smiled and pecked his cheek. "I missed you too Buck. How was your days?" "It was good, not as good as it is with you though." He brushed her hair back and smiled. He waited a beat then spoke. "I love you so much you know that right?"
She gave him a confused look. "Yes? And I love you." "And you know I wouldn't do anything unless I absolutely had to right?" She raised her brow and stepped back. "What did you do?" He shifts in place and huffs happily. "Close your eyes and wait here okay?" He kissed her passionately and she hummed, shutting her eyes she stood as he ran back to their room. She heard shuffling and he said it's was okay to open. Slowly opening her eyes she saw a very excited Bucky and a white cat in his arms. "Surprise!!" He walked closer and she widened her eyes. "Where did you get a cat?!" She reached out and the cat rubbed her head against her palm. "Well, I was coming home from a mission yesterday and grabbed coffee on the way back. When I went to get in my bike she walked out of the alley and came up to me and rubbed against my leg." He scratched behind the cats ear and she purred. "She had no one. I couldn't leave her." He grinned down at her and Y/N watched how happy he was.
"Love, you know we can't have cats in the apartment building." Y/N watched him frown and look at her. "But look at her!" He held the cat in front of her face and chuckled. "Alpine is the sweetest." "Alpine?" "That's what I named her. Can we please keep her? We can just lie to the owner." Y/N shook her head and stared at the cat. Alpines eyes were locked onto hers and Y/N groaned. "Fine. We can keep her but if we get kicked out it's your fault." She smiled and pet the cats head. Alpine purred and turned to lick her hand. "Isn't she adorable?" Bucky said proudly. "Yes she is. Looks like we have a new member of the family." She leaned in and kissed Bucky, Alpines head rubbed between them and they broke out into laughter.
