Desire~Stephen (Part 3)

"So if he takes down the rest of the sanctums the dark dimension will engulf this world and Dormammu will destroy anything in his path."
"Okay..." Stephen says as he chuckles.
"I didn't sign up for this. I came here to fix my hands not fight in some mystical war!"
Y/N looked at him shocked.
"You became a doctor to save lives, now you learn that there is another way to save them, lots of lives and you throw in the towel?" She scoffs.
"When you become a sorcerer and wield this power, you automatically choose to defend this place and it's sanctums. This is our home now, wether you like it or not, so we protect it!" Her voice becoming hostile, filled with anger towards his selfishness.
"Y/N- " Just as he tried to speak a bang came from downstairs.
"He's here." Mordo's stif words made Strange go still.
"You either stay and fight, or you leave this place." Y/N harsh features turned away from him walking with Mordo to defend the sanctum against the Zealots.

There were three, Kaecillius and his two followers. Y/N went after the one on the left and Mordo went to the one on the right. They were stronger and faster but Y/N didn't give up. As she went to hit the man he swept her left with a rope he conjured. She fell and he came down with a space shard, she rolled causing the shard to sink into the floor. She got up and grabbed her staff swinging it hard, it snapped into the mans back causing him to fall down. Stephen came down finally fighting Kaecillius, the two fought hard but in the end Strange was just not as powerful as him. Being kicked off to the side Mordo finished off the woman and helped him up. Y/N was still fighting the other Zealot, she had hit him many more times now he was weak and hurt, she went over him and brought her staff up over her head out came a blade, she plunged it downwards and...

Slice. Y/N gasped. What she had not known was Kaecillius stalking towards her while she was occupied.
"No!" Stephen screamed as she was impales by a shard created by Kaecillius. She fell to the ground. Kaecillius picked up the man on the floor and walked through a portal.
Stephen ran to Y/N crouching down. There were tears in her eyes and she was groaning in pain.
"We have to get her back to Kamar-Taj!"
"Wait! The hospital. It's close here make a portal to it I know someone who can help us!"
Mordo made an opening and Stephen ran through it with Y/N in arms.
"Christine!"
The blondes head peeked around the corned at the familiar voice. Seeing the blood and the almost lifeless body in his arms she ran to him.
"Oh my god! What happened?"
"No time to explain. Operating room now!"
They went into the first operating room they found. Setting Y/N down, Christine got to work, calling in other doctors.

-4 hours later-
Stephen was sitting in the waiting room, receiving looks from others for his appearance. He got up from his seat when Christine approached.
"How is she? Is she alright?"
"She's fine Stephen. She'll be okay."
He let out a sigh of relief, hugging her tightly thanking her for all she did.
"You guys can leave as soon as the doctors get out of the room. She told me about your situation and that you needed to leave as soon as possible." She lead him to Y/N's room and stopped in front of the door, turning to him.
"You care about her a lot. I can tell you've changed, it's not just about you anymore. I'm proud of you. Now take care of her!" He chuckled and and walked into the room.
"Y/N..."
She looked over at him, bandaged up trying to put back on her hood. She quickly walked towards him.
"Stephen...are you okay?"
"Me? I'm fine I promise. Are you okay?" He grabbed her face, cupping her cheeks.
"I've been better." She chuckles then fliching at the pain.
"Careful." He smiled.
"Come on lets get you back."
They went through the portal in the mop closet and walked into the New York sanctum.
"Y/N! I'm so glad you're okay!" Mordo came over and hugged her.
"Still have a stab wound!" She winced. He apologized and stepped back.
"Where are they now?" She asked referring to Kaecillius.
"They're attacking Hong Kong soon, we must go. Wongs waiting for us." As Y/N is about to follow him Stephen grabs her arm.
"You aren't going! You just got stabbed!"
"Stephen. I'll be fine. This is my home, these people have become my family. I need to protect this family."
He nodded his head and let go allowing her to fight. The three walked into Hong Kong and saw destruction and the dark dimension already taking over the sanctum.
