Meet The Parents~Thor (Part 4)

"Y/N?" She looks up to see Thor standing in the doorway glancing between her and the suitcase on the bed. He looks heartbroken. He knows what's she's doing and he tries to stop her.
"Sweetheart please! Don't do this, don't go."
"I don't want to, but I have to."
"Then I will go with you!"
"Thor no! This is your home, I can't let you give up your entire life just to be with me. Your father is right I won't be a good ruler. I don't know anything about asgard. You deserve to have someone your parents will approve of and will rule asgard correctly."
"You can learn! Please.."
"I'm afraid that still won't be enough darling..." She cries, she pulls him to her placing a sad kiss to his lips for the last time. She wipes away his tear and walks to the bed, closing her suitcase.

She walks down the steps of the palace, leaving behind her true love and a life of happiness with him. "Wait!" She turns around to see Thor running to her.
"I'm coming."
"Thor we already talked about this, please just let me go."
"I can't. I will not let go. I love you with all of my heart, I want to be with you and if that means leaving my home, I will do it." He grabs her hands.
She about to protest when someone speaks.
"That does not need to happen." They both snap their head toward the sound. There standing on the steps was Odin and Frigga. He begins to walk down the steps stopping in front of the couple.
"Y/N's words humbled me. After she left, I started thinking about what she said... and it was all true. I have been a terrible father to you and your brother. Trying to tear you and Y/N apart was awful and wrong of me, I was stuck thinking the old way."
He looks at Y/N and continues.
"Y/N stood up to me. She said things to me no body would ever dare say." Y/N cringes at the memory.
"But it was because of those things she said that ended up making me change my mind. Y/N is a respectable woman and she will make an excellent and strong queen one day."
She smiles wide at his words. Thor looks at his father.
"Does this mean she can stay!?"
"Yes, Y/N can stay."
Thor jumps with joy, picking Y/N up and twirling her around. She giggles at his excitement. Putting her down he grabs her face gently and kisses her.

-2 years later-

"You may now kiss the bride." The room erupts with cheers and applause.
Thor bending down slightly to kiss his new queen. The wedding was perfect everyone from the team came to Asgard for the wedding and Odin allowed the other realms to come too. The reception was filled with people. Dancing, talking, drinking. It radiated happiness and love.

Y/N walked outside to the garden to get away from the crowds a bit. She sat on a bench and looked at the moon shining on the blooming flowers.
"Shouldn't the bride be in there instead of out here?" She turns to see Odin walking to her.
"I needed a minute away." He takes a seat next to her.
"Congratulations Y/N. You really make my son happy."
She smiles.
"He makes me happy!" She responds looking at the man.
"It's going to take me awhile to get used to this. I still don't fully like you being a midgardian." He points out.
She rolls her eyes and chuckles.
"Well i don't fully like you either. Guess it's just something we have to work on."
He gives her a kind nod in response, agreeing to work on it.
"There's my wife!" Thor exclaims running and picking Y/N up. She yelps at his movements.
"I'll leave you two be. I'm happy for you my son." He pats Thor's back and walks away.
Thor locks eyes with Y/N. She smiles as she looks into his eyes. There it was again that damn smile that made him fall head first for her.
"I love you Dear."
"I love you more."
"I love you most." He kisses her passionately and takes her hand waking back into the party.
