Missing You~Bucky

"Hey Sugar! I brought you some flowers. Hope you like them." Bucky says sitting down on the blanket flattened on the grass.
"I love them!" Y/N responds smiling up at him and putting her head on his shoulders. She takes a deep breath and inhaled his warm inviting cologne. He sat there looking off into the distance admiring the fall leaves blowing in the wind. He finally broke the silence.

"So Sam and I finished the boat. We also took down a group of super solider bad guys but we can talk about that another time."
She chuckled at him.
"What did I say about bad guys?"
"I know you said not to fight anymore after Thanos but we had to just this once. I'll try to take a break now." He smiled down at her and nodded her head.

"Speaking of, how's Sammy?" Y/N asked lifting her head up.
"Sam's good. So is his sister and nephews. They're letting me stay with them for awhile. Their town is super welcoming, I don't get stared at for my arm so that's nice."
She looked at Bucky with so much love. She was happy he was finally okay with showing his arm, and being around people. She was thankful that Sam broke him out of his shell. They sat there enjoying each other's company.
"I'm sorry I haven't come to see you in a bit. I miss you so much!"
Y/N stood up and walked in front of him. She sighed at his sad face.
"I miss you too my love."

Only he didn't hear her respond. He stared at her grave with the flowers laying down in front.  He didn't hear her talk earlier. He didn't even know she was there watching him and talking to him every time he visited. Y/N had died on Vormir when trying to get the stones to bring back the snapped. Bucky and her went to get the Soul Stone but they had to make a decision. Who would go?

Bucky and Y/N fought to be the one to jump. But unfortunately Y/N won that fight. She was hangin off the edge with Bucky holding onto her arm, pleading to not do what she was about to do.
"No! Please! You can't!" He screamed with tears blurring his vision. She smiled up at him.
"Buck, I have to. Whatever it takes remember?"
"No! It can't be you! Let me, please!!"
"You can't! You deserve to live, to have a nice long life. To experience everything you missed out on! I'm sorry my love. But it has to be me." She whispered.
"After this don't you dare do anymore fighting!" He let out a sad laugh at her serious tone.
"I love you so much!" He cried.
"I love you. Always." She placed her feet in the side of the cliff and kicked off with one smooth motion. He tried to reach out but just grabbed onto air. As she fell Bucky saw their entire relationship flash before his eyes. He woke up in a pool of water and a stone in his hand. She did it. She saved everyone. She was gone.

"I miss you so so much!" He whispered rubbing her headstone. A tear escaping his eye as he hung his head low. Y/N kneeled down next to him and caressed his cheek, of course he didn't know or feel it but it somehow comforted him.
"I wish I knew you were okay, or you were listening. A sign or something. Anything." He took a deep breath and lifted his head back up, tracing over her name with his fingers.
"I love you sweetheart. I'll visit you soon." He smiled and placed a kiss on top of the stone. Getting up he got into his car and drove off. He sat in silence thinking about Y/N and her laugh. Her smile. Her everything, she made him so happy. He was so in love. Shaking his head of his sad thoughts Bucky turned on the radio to fill the quiet. A song came on that made Bucky's heart stop. It was the song Y/N and him danced to all he time. It was their song.

For I can't help falling in love with you...

He laughs as tears fall.
"Thank you Doll." He smiles and sniffs looking at her picture in his car.
"You're welcome my love..."
