Chapter 27

Naruto's POV

"Take care of yourselves. And Naruto, don't forget about the boundary I set for you. If you cross them I'll have to take you back here." Mikoto says smilingly standing there while we were getting into the car.

She waves her hand at us and I ignore her. And here I'm again with the Uchiha brothers. Sasuke says,"Can I fasten your seat belt for you?" I tell him stopping him from doing that,"I can do it by myself."

I don't feel like talking to him somehow even though he didn't do anything to me. It'll take quite some time to go back to my apartment. I was quite for a long time. Sasuke broke the silence after some minutes saying,"Are you feeling okay Naruto?"

I reply to him saying,"Yeah I'm good." Sasuke says,"I talked to father, he's not gonna come after you." I reply to him just saying,"Hmm." Sasuke becomes silent again. I know Sasuke is loosing his temper with each second passing.

Sasuke says,"They why do you have that look on your face?" I ask him,"What? I think I look fine." Sasuke says,"Everything was fine but then what happened? Why won't you talk to me?" I turn to face him and speak,"I'm talking to you right now."

Sasuke sighs. I see his knuckles turning white. Itachi is silent like he isn't here. I turn on my phone. There's a lot of messages and calls from Sai. I'll talk to him after I go back.

Coming back to my apartment I sigh in relief. Those two days were really hard for me to stay there. Now that I'm free, I don't care about anything else. I'm kind of thankful to them that I don't have to work right now, now I can fully concentrate on my study.

The next day

"Are you going to school today?" Kakashi asks me opening his one eye right after he woke up. I tell him,"Yeah, I already missed a lot of classes." Kakashi says,"Take some money with you. I'll have to go for work today. You won't see me for days." I nod and leave my apartment leaving Kakashi there by himself.

I let out a yawn while entering the class through the door. Sai was there. He came running to me right after seeing me entering. He almost yells,"Where were you these days Naruto! I was so worried."

I tell him patting his back,"Don't worry. I'm here all healthy." Sai sighs and says,"Why weren't you picking up you phone? I almost thought those bastards kidnapped you." I tell him,"I'll tell you later about it, okay?"

The classes finished more quickly than I thought. Sasuke was absent today. After classes Sai and I make our ways to the cafeteria. After grabbing something to eat Sai inquires me about why I left that day with them.

I briefed him with every information after coming to the rooftop. Sai's mouth was parted while listening to the story. He looks a little bit surprised. Sai says,"I'm happy that you aren't going back." I tell him,"I never intended to go back anyway."

Say says,"I'm just telling it you for your own good. There are rumours floating in the air about Sasuke. It'd be good for you not to hang around him." I ask him,"What kind of rumour?" Sai says,"It's like, Sasuke is a drug addict and that's why he hangs out with the Hyuga siblings. Sasuke's relationship with hookers. There's a lot."

How come these much rumours are being spread all of a sudden? I speak,"Nobody can know Sasuke better than me here. These rumours are fake." Sai says,"How can you say that? You weren't with him for a long time. He could have changed."

I tell him feeling a little annoyed,"No, I'm sure Sai. You are saying these because you don't like him. He can be bad but he doesn't do these sort of things." Sai sighs. He says,"It's not like it's our business. Try to stay out of his way."

The classes end after the long hectic day. I have to go to the hall for the club activity. After joining the club, I was absent for days. I make my way to hall. Luckily today I'm not the only one who came here early.

Yahiko is already there with a tall man beside him. I remember this man, he was beaten badly that day by Itachi. Yahiko notices me. He speaks seeing me,"If this isn't Naruto."

I go ahead and tell him,"Sorry for my absence president. I've had some personal issues." Yahiko smirks. He says mockingly,"Personal issues or a small vacation with the Uchiha brothers?"

I frown. Maybe Itachi is the one who told him about it. I tell him,"Like I said those are my personal issues. I'd like to continue my club activity from today." Yahiko says,"You know what? I briefed the teacher about how ignorant you are about this club. Teacher wasn't happy to hear that, trust me."

I grit my teeth. He's getting on my nerves. I speak,"Why would you do that?" Yahiko says,"You can't afford to be bad in our teacher's eyes right?" I keep myself quite even though I wanted to say something back to him.

He knows I'm studying here depending on my scholarship but he doesn't know that now I don't have to depend on that. The Uchiha family is paying for my living expenses.

The tall man who's name is supposed to be Kisame says,"Isn't this Sai's bitch? How's he connected to the Uchiha brothers?" Yahiko says,"That's a huge history that won't go through you thick skull Kisame. Why don't you stay out of it?"

Kisame looks offended but doesn't say anything in return. Yahiko says,"Enough chatting for today! Let's get back to work." I was trying to teach them about the things they don't know about math.

There's a lot of students who come here to get help. I wonder why do they even think about coming here? I'm sure they are more than stable to afford a tutor for them at home.

Shikamaru who is busy with his work is ignoring me for the whole time. I ask him trying to break the awkwardness,"Hey, have you seen Sasuke today?" Shikamaru turns his head and asks me with a bored expression,"Why are you asking?"

I stutter,"T-There's no reason actually." Shikamaru says,"You are really sly huh. I'm enlightening you with some hot news then. There was a fight in between us this morning." I ask him feeling anxious all of a sudden,"What? Why!"

Shikamaru says,"Why are you being all hyper? It's not like it's your business." I tell him,"I know it isn't but..." I couldn't find anything suitable to continue the sentence. Shikamaru says,"Well if you are that much curious, I'll tell you about that. It was between Sasuke and Neji. Both of them are quite injured."

After the club activity, I make my way to Sasuke's apartment. I know I shouldn't come here but here I'm in his doorway once again. After knocking on the door, the door flings open. Itachi is the one who opened it for me.

I ask him,"Is Sasuke here? I heard he was involved in some sort of fight." Itachi checks me our for some seconds and then says coldly,"He's inside but what's the reason for you to visit him?" I push him aside not answering his question and make my way to Sasuke's room.

Sasuke was half lying on the bed with a pillow against his back. There's a small bandage under his left eye. He looks more okay than I thought. He looks surprised seeing me here. I almost came here running and now I'm panting for air after stopping in his room.

I hear his voice. "Why are you here Naruto?" I look up to him. I speak seeing his confused gaze,"I heard about it. I thought you were injured badly." Sasuke's face lights up to a genuine smile. He asks me,"Were you worried about me?"

I yell at him,"Shut up! Why would you get into a fight with the Hyugas?" Sasuke says,"Sorry but I was furious." I ask him,"What's the reason Sasuke?" He replies,"I got to know about the rumours. I got to know that he was the one who was spreading them. I couldn't help but swing my fist."

I ask him,"But why would he do that?" He looks down once again but I keep giving him my questioning look. He says,"Don't be mad at me but I assured him that I'll take you back with me as soon as I can. That's why he was helping me." I grit my teeth looking at his face.

Sasuke says noticing my aggression,"Hear me out. That was how I used to think back then but after some times I thought about not forcing you in this matter. When I told him that I'll stop doing that to you, he started to show his true colours. I knew he could stoop this low."

Sasuke continues,"It was okay but when he tried to betray me, I had to show him his place. I can tolerate everything except for betrayal." I look at his face and he looks furious all of a sudden. I know Sasuke hates lies. Now that Neji is in the list of his enemies, he won't let him roam happily.
