Chapter 30

Naruto's POV

Last night, I felt someone's presence right close to my body. Waking up I went first to Sasuke to ask him about it then he said he came to drink some water and checked on me. He didn't tell me anything farther than that. Maybe I was half sleeping and was in between some kind of dream and reality.

The two brothers are having breakfast sitting beside me silently. I am trying to avoid any kind of conversation. I'll just go to school and spend as much time as I can in the library after school and come home late. This way I'll be able to avoid interacting with these two brothers.

I ask them,"Take the dishes to the sink and I'll wash it after I come home." Itachi just nods and Sasuke says,"You don't have to do it. We'll be cleaning our dishes." Itachi sent a glare to Sasuke showing how pissed he's and Sasuke just ignored his brother's gaze.

Sasuke says after finishing eating,"Let's go Naruto, I'll drive you to school." I tell him,"No need. I don't want to catch unnecessary attention." Sasuke says,"Why do you even care about that?" I reply to him,"Because I want to live as quietly as possible."

Sasuke says,"Just listen to me once when I tell you to do something. It's not like I'm hurting you." I click my tongue feeling annoyed and tell him rudely,"Then go and get your car ready! Fucking assholes."

While driving I was trying to keep my patience on check. Ordering me around is the only thing they can do. After that fight people will make more fuss if they see us coming together. They'll make assumptions and spread ridiculous rumours. I hate their gaze.

Sasuke speaks breaking the cold silence,"You've become feisty." I frown and shoot daggers at him. Sasuke smirks. Sasuke says,"The more you act like this, my desire gets stronger." I tell him,"You are pent up, I see. Why don't you go and fuck someone?"

Sasuke says,"If I tell you something, would you believe it?" I ask him,"What?" Sasuke replies,"After I had sex with you, I didn't lay my hands on anyone." My eyes were about to pop out of the socket. Sasuke was famous for being a manwhore. Nobody changes this quickly.

Seeing me being silent Sasuke says,"You probably don't believe me." I tell him,"Do you blame me for that?" Sasuke doesn't reply to it. It doesn't matter what he does. Maybe he's irresistible even though I vowed to myself that I won't let him lay his fingers on me, I won't let him acknowledge my feelings.

Getting out of his car, people already are looking our way. They aren't even hiding the fact that they are talking about us. Sasuke is like a damn celebrity everywhere he goes. Catching their attention isn't good for me. What if someone reveals my true identity?

I tell him,"We'll be parting our ways. I'll go from a different side." Sasuke says,"That is rather unnecessary Naruto." I tell him,"What do you want to prove to them? That we are dating?" Sasuke says,"Some of them are already thinking like that."

Somehow I managed to get past to Sasuke after a small argument with him. Sasuke is a man of a few words but this morning during the argument he ended up talking more than usual.

I am hearing Sai's voice from here who is on his way to the classroom I'm sure. Being in this room, Sai already saw me. He comes immediately to my way after seeing me looking at him. Sai says,"How's my best friend doing?"

He tries to put his hand around my shoulder that I just rejected. Sai says pouting,"You don't even let me touch you." I cringe. I tell him,"I feel hot that's why."

After long exhausting hours and spending too much time studying I finally decided to head back to Sasuke's apartment. Sasuke is nowhere to be seen and I didn't expect to see him here waiting for me so long as well. I was basically hiding from him after all.

I thought the apartment would be empty because both of the brothers spend too much time outside but inside there is a person I never expected to see. What is Sakura doing here?

Sakura sitting on the couch focusing on her phone. The way she's sitting on the couch shows how comfortable she's here already. She looks up and sees me but seeing her gaze seems like she isn't even surprised after seeing me.

She's chewing bubblegum and she's wearing a crop top and very short jeans. She still looks like a queen bee of a school. And here I'm the one who is surprised to see her.

I mumble,"Sakura?" Sakura puts his phone away and says giving her attention to me,"Naruto. Long time no see." She has no expression on her face like she doesn't care about anything in the world. I ask her,"Is anyone else here in this apartment?"

Sakura replies,"Itachi is in his room." So Itachi let her come in. I tell her,"Make yourself comfortable. I'm going inside." Sakura asks me stopping me from going,"In which room you are staying?"

I tell her,"I sleep on the couch and use Sasuke's room sometimes. It's the same like I used to use his room back then." Then I chuckle nervously. Why am I feeling the need to explain it to her?

Sakura nods and says,"Yeah, I understand." I end up asking her,"May I know why you are here?" Sakura says,"I have some errands to run here so I'll be staying in this apartment for a few days." I ask her,"Does Sasuke know about this?" Sakura says,"Not yet but he has no option but to let me stay here. He owes me."

Seeing my curious gaze Sakura speaks again,"If you want to know about it, just ask me." I ask her,"Would you tell me then?" Sakura nods. I don't know why she's acting decently even though she doesn't like me. Back then she was always glaring at me but now her gaze is just cold.

Sakura says,"Can you see my hair?" I look at her pink hair that is now short. Now I remember back then her hair used to be so long getting pass to her waist. Now her hair is up to her shoulders. She says,"This is something caused by Sasuke."

I raise my eyebrows. She says,"No, you were the reason. When the rumour spread about you running away, Sasuke lost it. That crazy bastard became insane. Seeing that pissed me off. Then I went around talking shit about you and spread more rumours. he came onto me and did this to me. As a way of insulting me he chose this."

She points to her hair and says,"He cut my hair at that point with a pair of scissors in front of everyone." She looks a little mad while talking about it now. Her face isn't cold like before. I don't know what to say as a reply but I speak dumbly,"I'm sorry for what he did back there."

Sakura rolls her eyes in return and says,"Do you know why I don't like you? Because the way you act so innocent. I hate it, because acting this way you made Sasuke notice you." Seeing her blaming me makes me feel a little angry but I chose to keep myself quiet.

Sakura says,"Even after what he did to me I chose to help him like a foolish bitch. I was really desperate." Saying that she laughs mockingly. I ask her,"What do you mean?"

Sakura says,"After your cowardly act I helped Sasuke. He was looking for you and was becoming more aggressive with each day passing. He didn't even think about breaking up with me that time and it was like he forgot about me entirely. To tell you the truth we never broke up."

I feel my heart dropping. Sakura continues,"But I don't have any hope and the relationship ended even though we didn't officially call it off. However, I'm the one who gave him information about you. About you admitting in this school, living in this neighborhood."

Of course Sakura is useful like a dog. She probably used Lee for this kind of job. Lee was a guy who was involved in some kind of street gang and because how he was obedient to Sakura, everyone feared her because of Lee backing her up.

Sakura says,"Trust me I regret it sometimes but rather than seeing Sasuke acting like that, this is better. Sasuke owes me big time and I'll make a better use of him."

The door opens once again revealing Sasuke. Sasuke eventually looks at us talking. He looks surprised as well. Sasuke raises his voice seeing Sakura,"What are you doing here!" Sakura's lips turn into a smirk.

She gets up and says looking straight into Sasuke's eyes,"Is this how you'll treat your ex girlfriend who came here to see you after so long?" She moves forward to Sasuke and says getting a little closer to him,"Take care of me, Sasuke."
