Chapter 40

Naruto's POV

6 months later~

"What am I going to do with this?" Sai says as he touches his forehead in despair. We both are sitting in front of the pile of books. I hit his head with the notebook playfully I'm holding. He whimpers looking like a big puppy with his ears down.

Sai is dumb when it comes to solve math equations. He's not the brightest person but his passion for football is on another level that he is quite proud of. The last exam that we have to ace and then depending on the results we'll be able to apply for different colleges.

I have a college that is in my mind but getting admitted won't be the easiest because of it being a prestigious college among cities. Sai is lucky that he is getting a scholarship for a college that is hard to get into because of how he plays but for that, he has to pass each exam.

"Here I'm tutoring you even though I'm busy and you are doing these half ass works. Get out now." I tell him rudely. Sai says pouting,"Is it too hard to act sweet, Naruto? When I first saw you, I almost fell for you thinking of you as the cutest guy in the school."

I cringed hard. I threw my pencil box at him and he quickly dodged it laughing. Sai says surrendering,"I was joking! Jeez!"

After coming out of the exam halls I sighed in relief now that there won't be any pressure on my shoulders anymore except for the thoughts I'll have about my grades. I stretch my arms which are stiff and the side of my waists don't feel good too. I'll just run back to my apartment and sleep.

"Where are you going!" I felt someone jumping on me. I curse,"What the hell!" I sensed the smell and the person is obviously Kiba. I can smell Akamaru on him. He says cheerfully,"I heard you did really well! You deserve a treat!"

I ask him trying to push him off of me,"Who told you that?" He says pulling me to him even more,"I already know that dummy. Let's go to that cafe. We'll grab Sai on our way." He started to pull me with him ignoring my yelling and cursing.

"Why are you dragging him like that!" Sai yells dramatically as he pulls me to him snatching me away from the hold of Kiba. Kiba raises his eyebrows and then his lips curl up to a smile. He jokes,"I would mistake you for a clingy couple."

I push Sai away immediately after that remark reached my ears. Sai looks at him grinning like a dumbass as he is. Kiba turns to the guy who was witnessing everything with that amused gaze of his. He says to him in a joking manner,"Don't you think? Sai is too soft and different around our Naruto?"

That guy says smirking,"I thought I was the only one to think like that." Kiba says laughing,"No, the whole school knows about that." Saying that the place fills with laughter immediately making us a subject of mockery.

I was humming a song as I was enjoying the hot water falling upon my stiff and stressed body. My muscles are being loose and my whole body and mind are put in ease. The whole bathroom is filled with fog and the scent of my favourite shampoo that I use regularly.

Suddenly my phone started to ring through my whole apartment which was completely pin drop silent. I ignored the loud noise and kept enjoying my shower.

After wrapping the towel around my waist I got out of my bathroom leaving the lights on. The phone is ringing since then. Who could be calling me this desperatly?

After coming from the Uchiha mansion that was about six months ago, my life is going pretty smoothly. Even Kakashi rarely comes home. I'm doing a part time job as I was tutoring a few high school students and earning my pocket money trying to be less bother to Kakashi who insisted to play my guardian.
