Chapter 43

Naruto's POV

What is happening? Why can't I move my body? Feels like I'm trapped in a little box and unable to make any movement. This feels suffocating. Suddenly when I opened my eyes I was seeing the white celling above me with my blurred vision.

What is this beep beep noise? I was eager to move but I felt a sharp pain in my arm and my wrist too. Then suddenly the past scenes came rushing to my mind. I was shot in my arm and Sasuke....

My eyes grew wide. I have to see him! I have to ask for him! I wanted to scream his name but my throat didn't let me do so but the mumbling sound I make managed to reach the doctor's ears.

He came rushing and seeing me he seemed to sigh being relieved. He says,"Mr. Namikaze, is it?" I mumble,"It'd be Uzumaki." The doctor says,"I was informed about you, you don't have to worry. What about your arm?"

I tell him,"It hurts." The doctor says nodding,"That's understandable. Don't try to move much. I'll inform your relatives. They must be eager to hear about you."

After some minutes Kakashi came rushing to me. He looks anxious and worried. I'm not used to this expression of his. Kakashi is a selfish person even though he was taking care of me since then and the reason behind it is still unknown to me.

I always thought, it was because he felt guilty. Kakashi says checking all over me,"Naruto! Oh my god." He takes a deep breath closing his eyes. He says again,"Does it hurt? I shouldn't have left you alone to go to that party."

I tell him,"You just can't look after me with that busy schedule of yours." Kakashi says,"I still was your guardian." I ask him being anxious,"Hey Kakashi. Can you tell me about where is Sasuke?" Kakashi stopped right there. His face made that weird expression making me feel even more worried. I feel like crying at this point.

I ask him again,"He was shot that day too. Is he okay?" Kakashi says,"He's fine." I whisper,"Don't lie to me Kakashi. Just tell me the truth." Kakashi sighs. Seems like he didn't have any intention to talk about Sasuke but under my gaze, he's unable to lie anymore.

Kakashi says,"He's in this hospital too. But he still hasn't woken up." I grit my teeth and clench my jaw too. I squiz my eyes shut and some drops of tear left from my eyes. At least he is not dead.

I whisper again,"Can I see him?" Kakashi says,"No, no one is allowed to go into the room." I tell him,"Tell me whenever they give permission to go into the room." Kakashi says looking at me worriedly,"But you have to recover first otherwise the doctor won't allow you to leave this bed."

I tell him giving him a glare,"I don't care about the doctors. Please do as I'm saying." Kakashi sighs. He says,"There's a guy who is constantly calling. I kinda pick your phone up without your permission and the phone is still ringing."

I extend my hand and tell him,"Could you please hand it over?" Kakashi nods as he takes it out of his pocket and gives it back to me. Kakashi says,"I'm giving you some space. Call me if you feel sick or something." I nod as I appreciate how he knows how much I want to be alone at this moment.

I turned on my phone as so many notifications floats on the screen. I smile lightly as I see Sai's number. Seems like he is the only one from there to be this worried about me. Even though I wasn't planning to call him back but I ended up doing it.

He picks it up immediately. Hearing his voice I was sure that he was eagerly waiting for one phone call from this phone. "Naruto! Is this you!" He spoke. I speak in my hoarse voice,"Yes Sai. This is me."

Sai says as I clearly hear him sighing,"Oh my... I was dying to hear about you. I heard you have been shot." I tell him,"Yeah. Sounds unbelievable, right?" He didn't respond to that and says,"Tell me the name of the hospital." I tell him,"I don't know the exact name. I'll text it to you after hearing about it."
