Chapter 35

Naruto's POV

"I'm surprised that you are really tagging along." sai says looking surprised even though he surely wanted to keep the whole attitude of his cool. I tell him,"Let me stay here, until Kakashi comes." Sai says shrugging his shoulders,"You know I'm more than happy."

Sai has a nice house that looks like some house from a movie. I know Sai's parents are home and the relationship between them and Sai isn't that good.

"This is my room" He says looking overly excited like a kid who wants me to see his new toy. I tell him,"I know." Sai says,"And we can sleep together in my king size bed." Saying that he sends a wink to me making me feel cringe from the hundredth time today.

I tell him,"I was going to sleep on the floor." Sai ignores me and heads inside. Sai says,"This looks like a bit messy but I'll clean it up quickly, okay?" There are packet of chips, cans of coke, a plate with half eaten pastry on it and bunch of balled papers.

Sai says,"The bed is clean, I swear." I tell him,"But I'm going to sleep on the floor." Sai says,"My room is colder at night. I swear I'm not going to jump at you at night." I look at him scrunching my face. I tell him,"Can you not talk like that?" Sai just giggles not giving any clear answer.

"Dinner is ready!" The loud voice of Sai's mother reached our ears. The dinner is going to be awkward. I didn't even want to eat with them thinking about eating outside but that was going to be a bit rude.I take a deep breath and follow Sai. After all I know what kind of people Sai's parents are.

"Do you like fish?" Sai's mother asks me keeping her poker face. I tell her forcing a warm smile,"Yes, I'm not a picky eater." Her mother puts a large piece of fish on my plate without extending the conversation anymore.

Sai's father is giving his full concentration on eating like a obedient robot. How did even Sai manage to grow up being this much of a bright person? I feel like my weight has increased on the floor in the pressure.

"What does your father do?" I almost let out all the food from my mouth I was chewing. Sai sends a glare to his father and says,"Can you not talk about this subject, father?" Sai's father says,"Why? Don't I have rights to know about what kind of people you are associating to?"

Sai says,"You already put tail behind me father. Don't think that I don't know about that." Sai's father says,"Yes, everything is just to keep you away from that Hyuga guy." Then he turns to me again and says,"So. What was I saying?"

I cough a little covering my mouth and speak,"My father isn't alive to be able to do something, sir." Sai's father didn't react hearing about such a sensitive matter. He says,"Then I hope you are not going in the wrong way now that you don't have a father. I don't want another guy like Neji hanging around Sai."

Sai gets up landing his fist on the table causing the glass of water to fall on the floor shattering the glasses all over. He yells,"Do you really have to embarrass me in front of a friend who came here for the first time? I'm so ashamed!

After coming back to Sai's room not even finishing the dinner properly after their dramatic fight, I was trying my best to calm Sai down. I tell him,"You know, they are just worried about you." Sai says being restless,"How can you say that! You saw how they try to control me. You don't have to make them look like a saint."

He knows I'm just spitting theses nonsense to keep him calm. In real, Sai's parents are worst and we both are aware of that thing. They would make ruckus in school just because Sai got 2 marks less and making fuss about small matters. That is super embarrassing for Sai.

Next day

"Hello." I speak in my sleepy voice getting a sudden call in the morning. I received the call not even checking the caller ID. But it turns out that it is Sasuke Uchiha who just called.
