ELVIN

"Hey, Vinie!" There she is, the so called girlfriend of mine, I just know she's going to give me hell for either talking to another girl or making a scene because it's going to ruin her reputation, not mine, hers. I scoffed mentally.

"Oh, who's this? Why don't you introduce me to your friend?" She smiled but anyone could tell it was fake.

Ari blurted out "Woah, you're gorgeous!"

My girlfriend huffed, trying to look anoyed but I could tell, she liked the compliment.

I smiled to myself. Really? What Is wrong with this girl?

"You really are pretty! Would you like to grab dinner?" Ari smiled.

This girl's impossible.

My girlfriend clicked her tounge "Fine, but you're paying. Since you were the one hanging out with my boyfriend. We clear on that?"

I turned around and took a deep breath in, amused at the event taking place right now.

"oh, we weren't hanging out, we just- " she took moment before thinking and said "Actually, it's whatever! I'll pay." She giggled like a child.

Stop smiling, damn it.

Before I could disagree at the idea, I heard a scoff. I looked to see a girl with shopping bags hanging on her wrist, with both of her hands wrapped around Ari in a side hug.

"She doesn't need a new friend."

ARYA

I was surprised by a person wrapping me in a warm hug.

"She doesn't need a new friend."

I looked at Val with wide eyes "Valerie Winston, you finally said it. You basically just said that I'm a friend to you!"

Now, let me explain what's happening here.

Flashback Time!

When I was 14, I saw a beautiful girl sitting alone. She was doing her makeup, and she was amazing at it!

So I went up to her and asked "hey, you're beautiful! could you do my makeup? You're great!" I giggled.

"Really? I am good at it, aren't I?"

I nodded enthusiastically. she chuckled liking the compliments and said "There's not much I can do about your...face but, um, whatever. Sit down, I guess" I admit, that was mean. But since she's doing my makeup, it's even!

The whole time, she was mean. But also nice. I was very confused at all her words-that-were-mean-but-nice. But after some time of hanging out with Valerie, I finally figured her out. I felt bad for her, she probably got hurt once, and now she tries to cover her kindness with the meaness.

She never admitted that I was her friend, Whenever I asked, she always just said "Don't misunderstand, I'm not a friend. Never say that we're friends to anyone, got it? You're someone I got to know, and I've been helping you out because I feel bad for the body and face that you do no justice to by not taking any proper care."

End of flashback!

Everybody looked confused as to what I was talking about but I was too happy to care.

"Shut it! This is no time for you to celebrate."

The girl that was possibly Elvin's girlfriend laughed, amused. "Look, I'm not trying to steal your friend. Your friend's the one trying to steal my boyfriend!" She locked arms with Elvin, the frustration on his face was as clear as the day.

"Oh god, shut your trap. You're clearly a gold digger." I said before thinking.

That was when I noticed the bodyguards surrounding Elvin and his girlfriend. Oh lord, what have I gotten myself into. I took one hand of Val that was still wrapped around me and ran, as fast as I could. Dragging her with me.

--

After a lot of running, we finally reached our hideout. We stopped, trying to catch our breath.

"Damned heels! My feet fucking hurt!" Val exclaimed.

I looked at her with a smile and said "No cussing, my friend"

she looked at me and chuckled. We both started laughing histerically. It was a beautiful but crazy night.

VALERIE

It was a crappy night. But with her, It was always shining. She's my friend. I always knew that in my mind. But today, I realised something even bigger.

I'm in love with this crazy girl.
