VALERIE
I walked into Ari's office and as expected, she hadn't done a thing to it but it still looked beautiful, probably because she was in it.
With the sunlight shining and some plants here and there, which I suppose were already there from the beginning.
Ari was sitting on the desk with her feet hanging in air. Isn't she cold?
She still hadn't noticed me, fully focusing on the file in her hands, I took that opportunity to admire her.
Her hair was in a low ponytail, it looked messy, but beautiful on her. Looks like she's been scratching her head, she usually does that when she's focused. I cleared my throat, hoping she would notice me. She did.
She looked up at me, her face had instantly lit up.
"Val! What are you doing here?" She smiled
"Just here to see if that jerk is still bothering you...Well, is he?" I asked awkwardly.
She ran up to me and instantly engulfed me in a hug. I scoffed, trying to look unaffected.
She looked up at me with her hands still on my waist, I knew what she was about to say 'You were worried about me? Awww' I shushed her before she could say something. "Just answer the question. " I rolled my eyes.
She let me go "I'm fine! But did he really let you come in here? Don't tell me you did something stupid." She narrowed her eyes at me
"Nothing special. Just a little threatening." I shrugged and walked to her seat, plopping down on it.
"You know, he might not be bothering me right now but if you keep doing what you're doing, he might just-" I cut her off
"he won't do anything, not if I break his bones...should I?" I asked looking straight into her eyes. Believe it or not, I'm a hundred percent serious.
"Sometimes, I can't tell if you're serious or joking." She sighed. She suddenly looked at her computer "I have some work to do. You can stay if you want!" She smiled.
I sighed "Look, I would like to. But I left in the middle of work so I need to go back." I looked at my watch
"Oh, that's absolutely fine!" She chuckled and continued "I'll see you soon anyways."
She hugged me one last time before I left.
I couldn't believe how much affect she had on me with just one touch, I felt sad knowing that there's not even a one percent chance she felt the same way.
:AUTHOR'S POV:
Knock Knock
"Come in."
"Eli! There's someone who's asking for you." Ari smiled nervously while coming in
"Who?" He asked without looking
"Wait..." She took a moment and continued "Aaron? Was that it? Yeah." She took a deep breath in.
Elvin looked at her with wide eyes "Aaron? Oh, great. That jerk's back...Send him in, I guess."
"Woah Woah, Did I just hear someone call me a jerk?" Aaron smirked
"Yes, Yes you did." Ari looked Aaron straight in the eyes
"Oh c'mon sweetheart, that look doesn't suit you." Aaron sat down on the chair.
Elvin sighed "What are you here for?"
"What's the hurry, Emaldi?" Aaron asked in a soft voice
"Oh, please do hurry." Ari whispered to Elvin
"You didn't tell me you got a new assistant, Emaldi. That too a hot one." Aaron eyed Ari
"I swear to god I'll bite you, you shameless sloth." Ari glared at Aaron with wide eyes.
Elvin tried hard not to laugh at the very amusing threat.
Aaron on the other hand completely ignored the both of them "I'm here to warn you one last time. Hire us before it's too late, Emaldi." Aaron said in a serious tone
"And for the last time, no. Get out." Elvin looked straight into his eyes, clearly looking more dominant in this situation.
Aaron sighed "Your loss, This was the last warning. Watch out for what's coming" Aaron got up. But just as he was about to walk out, he turned to Ari, Giving her a wink and mouthing the words 'Call me'.
Ari looked at him with a disgusted expression. Aaron smirked as he walked out.
"Oh that mother trucker!" Ari put her fist up in the air and gritted her teeth.
Elvin rolled his eyes "trucker? Seriously?" Elvin questioned.
Ari gave him a duh look.
Elvin scoffed at Ari who was now walking out.
"Shameless sloth?" He repeated to himself, amused at the new insult he had just learnt.
