:AUTHOR'S POV:

The next day

Ring
Ring

Elvin looked at his phone "... unknown number" he whispered to himself

"Hello. Elvin Emaldi here." He said

"Hello, son." He heard the voice of the person he has literally hated all his life.

He scoffed "What? Now you're calling? Is that our relationship now?"

"Now, now, babyboy. Is that how you greet your father?"

"You're right. Goodbye, then."

From the other side of the phone came a rustling sound

"Don't you dare hang up on your father."

Elvin laughed. Amused. "You're not my father." Elvin leaned back on the couch, running a hand through his hair in frustration "You'll never be. You don't deserve to be."

"That's no way to talk, is it?" His father laughed "You're still the same, son. Despiteful and grumpy." The man took a deep breath in "I hate that attitude."

"Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it? Kill me?" Elvin chuckled

"Now, you take that back. You know your mother- " His father got cut off by a sigh from Elvin

"Please stop talking. I can't even hear myself losing the will to live."

"You're being insane, Elvin."

Elvin scoffed once again "Congratulations, You won. Insanity runs in the family, doesn't it?"

"You've changed. You used to-"

"Oh, bullshit."

Beep

He sighed, walking out of his home

ARYA

I heard the door squeak open

"Huh? I thought I closed the door" I said to myself, quietly I took a knife in hand and walked out the kitchen

"Who is it?" I yelled

I walked up to the door, my breath quickening.

I reached the door, only to see Eli leaning against it.

"...Eli?" I asked gently.

I saw him take slow steps towards me.

Meanwhile, I took steps backwards.

Instead of going straight backwards, I went towards the right for some reason, and my back hit the wall.

He placed both his hands on the wall, and looked straight into my eyes

"Eli...?" I asked, confusion clear on my face.

Suddenly, I felt a weight on my shoulder.

Elvin rested his forehead on my shoulder and I heard a quiet whisper "I hate everything..."

I let a deep breath out and slowly patted his hair

"Thank you for making me an exception."

30 minutes later

"Are we still going to hang out on saturday?" I asked Eli, who was standing in the balcony, looking at the stars

He turned back, placing his elbows on the railing "What do you think?"

I grinned, deepening my voice "Not really interested but it's whatever I guess." I laughed, leaning on the railing, crossing my arms above my chest

He looked away "Correct." Nodding his head a little

"So what do you want? Something to eat? Drink? I can make a deadly hot chocolate."

"No thank you. In your case, it can literally be deadly."

I chuckled "That's true."

"What do you even eat? I mean- I doubt you make your food yourself."

"As much as I'm bad at cooking, I like trying. Hard work tastes good." I looked at him

"That sounds like something you would do." He sighed

I chuckled

"You know, I've come to like you a lot more than I originally planned to."

"Oh? Could you possibly be saying that..I'm your friend?" I raised my eyebrows, teasing him

"Oh definitely not."

I faced him "Oh I so am! You like me!" I laughed enthusiastically

I raised my hand, giving him a finger gun.

He looked at my hand for a moment

"Don't leave me hanging." I beamed

He turned towards me, touching his finger with mine

He looked at me like I was the stars.

His eyes sparkled, and for the first time, he smiled at me.

"Thank you, Arya White."

I tilted my head with a smile "beat you to the bed."

I ran, laughing.

"Oh, you mess with my head." I heard him mutter, before running after me.

VALERIE

I stood there, below your balcony.

I saw you. Laughing and looking at the stars with him.

I heard his voice "oh, you mess with my head."

"Same here, jerk." I whispered

I called her.

Hello, love?

Hey...Eliza. *sigh*

Hey, you okay?

I need you. I'm coming over.

Yes, of course.

...thank you.

*Chuckle* I'll have the movies and popcorn ready.
