:AUTHOR'S POV:
"We're never going to get along, White." He whispered. She heard, but decided to ignore it.
"We're here. Thank you Eli!" She said while getting out the car. She kept waving until the car was out of her sight. She looked at her ankles that were bleeding "I worked hard today, didn't I?" She chuckled, She took the hurt ankles as a sign that she tried her best today. She looked up at the sky "there aren't many stars tonight." She sighed
"but there's still a moon! Let's go and get ready for moving, shall we?" She whispered to herself and smiled.
The next day
"Good morning, Neighbour!" She shouted to every single neighbour that was in her sight, like she always did.
"Good morning, honey."
"Hey, sweetheart!"
"Looking good today, Ari."
"Moving day, right? Have fun."
"morning, Cupcake!"
Those were few of the responses she had heard.
She saw a familiar face outside.
"Good morning, Dev! Great weather, eh? Here to help me move?" She beamed
"Why yes I am!" He chuckled fondly and continued "The moving truck is here, everything's packed right?" He asked
"Yes, And mom's at home so she can help you with anything you need. Well, I have to get to work. Bye!" She waved but she was interrupted by the sound of tires screeching, she blocked her ears.
"Val? What are you doing here?" She asked with her hands still on her ears.
"Just here to take you to work. Aren't I very nice?" She asked proudly.
"You sure are." Ari chuckled and was about to get in but was interrupted by her mother screaming her name
"Yes, mom?" Ari asked
"Oh, Valerie is here too, hi, sweetie." Ari's Mom waved
"Yo, Miss W" Valerie smiled, putting her hand around Ari's shoulder
"Ari, honey, You did pack your underwear, didn't you?" Ari's mom asked not caring about the people around her
"Mom! There are so many people here, you could've just called." Ari whisper yelled.
She heard laughing from every direction "It's just underwear, honey. Everybody wears one, don't they?" She asked looking at Dev since he was standing nearby
"Yes, they do, Miss White." Dev chuckled.
Ari covered her face in embarrassment
"Oh, who's this handsome gentleman, Your boyfriend?" Ari's mom had a smug look on her face
"No, mom. He's a friend" Ari sighed in defeat
"Oh well, that's what everyone says, that's what I said about your father and here you are-"
"Mom, why don't you go home and help the movers? I have to get to work." Ari said to prevent herself from getting embarrassed even further
