I poured a cup of coffee on him. I know I'm screwed but he deserved it.

"You're a jerk, Emaldi. Don't you dare talk about Val like that. And do you even know how hard I worked to get that job?"

I turned to Val with a comforting smile.

"I know, You didn't let me finish Miss White." He clenched his jaw, I could see the anger flash in his eyes.

I looked at him with confusion.

"You're hired, Miss Arya White."

ELVIN

"You're hired, Miss Arya White. As my assistant."

I hated saying those words. But I couldn't help it, I took her job from her to make her work here. I can do much more than just taking her job when she's under my control.

"What!? No, she won't work here. With you as a boss? No way, say no right now Ari."

I looked at Ari, impatiently waiting for her response.

She smiled. Very bad at fake smiling, I must say.

"Val, Can I um, talk to you? In private?" She emphasized the word private

"Fine."

I could practically hear everything they were saying, Ari needs to move out from her mother's house. I smiled to myself.

Valerie scoffed "fine, she'll work here. On one condi-"

I cut her off "Yeah yeah. I'll find a place for her to move to." I smirked putting both my hands on the desk

"You heard everything?" Ari smiled nervously

"Well, yeah, you need to work on your whispering, White."

"Well, Um, When can I start?" She chuckled

"Tomorrow. You're dismissed for now." I sighed turning to my computer

"Woah, big guy. I haven't started yet, you can't order me around, I'll be dismissed When I want to be." She huffed, blowing hair out of her face. I Ignored her.

"Let's go" Valerie said before another word could come out of Ari's mouth

"Okay" Ari sighed, defeated.

That's the only good thing Valerie's done since I've met them.

The next day

ARYA

Today's the day! Today, I'll hopefully get a new place.

I walked to my workplace. Gosh, these heels hurt.

I needed to wear something presentable for my first day of work at a fancy place. My ankle will probably be bleeding by the end of the day.
