ARYA
"Ari! C'mon, let's go. Wanna see your new home?" Dev said as he opened the door
"I'd be happy to" I beamed with joy.
--
We were in Dev's car.
"Vin giving you a hard time, huh?" He turned to me
"Kind of. But I'm just working hard." I chuckled
"So, what did you do to make him so mad at you?" He asked with curiosity
"This is going to take a long time." I giggled and continued "ok, Um, let's see, I stole a cigarette from him because there was a no smoking sign. I pointed at him and yelled 'it's scary smoking mister' in a mall. And I poured hot coffee on him." I smiled once again
"Woah, hot coffee, really? Why?" He looked confused
"It was warm actually. As to why, he threatened my friend Valerie Winston, you probably know her, Because she's a lesbian. Also, he took my job from me." I cringed at the memory
"Wow, Valerie Winston is a lesbian? Aww, I thought I would have a chance." he says with a hint of sadness in his voice
"You seriously took that from all that?" I chuckled.
He smiled and said "I didn't expect it to be better, he's kind of a jerk, to be honest. But, trust me, he won't ever do anything too bad. He gave you a job and a home, he said it was because he would have control over you, right? He actually just felt bad." He chuckled fondly.
"Right. I can see that." I said happily.
"We're here! Welcome to your new place."
It was beautiful. It wasn't anything fancy, And I loved that. It was a cute, small house. I could decorate it with plants, some lights. it would be awesome!
"Thank you so much, Dev! I love it." I smiled from ear to ear, gawking at the new house I would call home.
"You can move in here tomorrow, Or whenever you want to be honest." He put his hand in his pocket."I could tell you would like this kind of place." He smiled and continued "Let's go back, I'll drop you home."
"Actually, I left my purse and keys at the office, could you drop me there? I'll walk home." I asked
"Well, whatever you want, M'lady." He said, I chuckled at the nickname.
ELVIN
I looked at my watch, Ari and Dev are probably home by now. I got ready for the meeting, picking up a few files and going to the coffee shop nearby.
"You all can go home now. Good job today." I said to the remaining people in the workplace as I walked out.
I couldn't choose between going in the car or walking there. I Chose to walk there.
