:AUTHOR'S POV:
"Eli? Eli! C'mon! Let's go!" Ari waved her hand in front of his face to get his attention
Elvin cleared his throat "Right. Let's go."
He shook his head and kept walking while Ari followed behind with Devin and Valerie walking in front.
As soon as they reached, Ari got them a table and Valerie and Devin took it upon themselves to make the order.
"Vin, your usual, right?" Devin asked
"Yeah, sure." Elvin said, not paying much attention
"Ari, you want something new? Or the same?"
"Same, please." Ari smiled and said as she sat down. "I'll also take a i-"
"Iced lemonade. I know." She gave Devin a let's go look.
Ari and Elvin were left alone.
"Eli, Are you okay? You seem a little out of it." Ari asked as she reasted her hands on the table
Elvin hummed in response. He took a deep breath in "hey, Miss White. Do you remember the park we went to?"
"Yeah, of course. Why?" Ari chuckled
"Do you remember taking anyone else there?"
"Of course I do!" She giggled in response
Elvin looked at her with anticipation
"I took mom, Val, grandpa Alfred, grandma lilith, and...yeah that's it." She grinned teasingly "you wanna go there again, huh? Do you miss it? I told you, you would like it there!" She giggled once again
"In your dreams, White." He crossed his arms above his chest and leaned back on the chair.
"Ari! Hands off the table. I've told you a hundred times about how you don't know if they cleaned the table or not after others ate on it!" Val whispered yelled with Ari's drink in her hand.
"Oh right! Sorry!" She took them off the table and put them in the air, only to extend her hand over to get her drink.
Valerie sighed and sat down, trying to hide her smile by biting on her lip.
"Where's dev?" Ari asked after taking a sip
"He's in the bathroom. Told me he needed to make space for his food." Valerie rolled her eyes "Why are you friends with him?" She sarcastically asked Elvin
"Heaven knows." Elvin sighed
"Aww look at you badmouthing a friend together. Are you gonna be the best of friends or what?" Ari chuckled
"That would be a nightmare."
"Who said I would like that!?"
"Sorry." She giggled and took a sip again. This time, chewing the ice.
"Ari! Not good for your teeth." Valerie hit Ari's shoulder lightly
"Oww" Ari held her shoulder playfully
