The rain hasn't stopped since yesterday night. The electricity at my place is having some problems. I called Dev about it but he said that he can fix it only after the rain stops. So...now I'm bored. And Val won't pick up my calls...can I come hang out with you? *Nervous chuckle*

-Arya's Mom's house-
I laid my head down on mom's lap
"Want something to eat? I tried to copy Alfred's cookie recipe?" She said while playing with my hair
It was dark. Only the tv with its sound turned off shined a bright light. The sound of rain was much louder than before.
"He told you his recipe? I thought he never told anyone." I looked up at her with shock
"Well, I'm special, aren't I?" She chuckled and caressed my nose with her pinky finger
"Anyways, how's everything going?" She asked as she went back to playing with my hair
"It's going well. I made two new friends. Of course, they don't get along well with Val but that's just because she's not good with people." I chuckled and turned to look at the tv
"It was...Devin and Elvin, right? Their names?"
"Mhm." I smiled
"Well, tell me about them."
"Well, Devin is kind and energetic. The type who loves parties and he's great with people. Elvin is...not openly kind, should I say? He's nice. You know I'm an expert with kind-but-not-kind people, right?" I laughed and continued "He's a gentleman. Val and Eli don't get along well but I think it's just a matter of time before they become the best of friends. Eli's a really grumpy and closed off person, but he looked like he needed a friend."
"So, you became friends with him? Ari, hon, I told you to never pity people. You could feel empathetic towards them, but never ever pity them. Nobody deserves to be pitied upon."
"I know, mother. I never pitied him. He's a great person with a great life. I just saw him and he seemed like a great person to be friends with. It's hard to try to become his friend. Just nobody except Dev tried and I wanted to change that." I gave her a big smile

I sat down on the couch beside her and gave her the popcorn.
"Thank you." Eliza gave me a small smile
"Hey, El? What do you...what do you think about Arya? My friend I told you about?"
