My girlfriend gasped at the sudden insult, seeing Ari and her friend running out was frustrating but fun.
I gave the guards a signal to leave them alone, atleast for now.
"Why didn't you stop them? Ugh! You're so annoying." she whined
"Let's break up" I said annoyed at the constant whining
"What?" She screamed and continued "I'm sorry, I won't say you're annoying ever again! Huh?"
I sighed running a hand through my hair "let's be honest, What they said isn't wrong, is it?" Before she could protest even further, I signalled one of the guards to do something about her.
"Now, let's deal with that Ari, shall we?"
The next day
ARYA
"What!?" I couldn't believe the words I had just heard.
"You know Mr.Emaldi right? He's the reason you're getting fired, you know. Don't blame me." My boss said looking as bored as ever
"Why would I get fired because of him? I don't even know that man!" I said while gritting my teeth, trying my best to look composed
"I'm frustrated too, you know. Now I have to find someone new, do you even know how much work interviews take?"
I sighed at the frustrating interaction "Okay. Well, I'll be leaving. Thanks for everything til now." I smiled, trying to look at the positive side.
She looked surprised by this "Yeah well, you were a nice person to work with, I guess." I gave her a tight-lipped smile and walked out.
The weather sure was nice outside! Since I have nothing to do, why not call mom and tell her why I'll be coming home early and tell her the news. That's going to be fun. Note the sarcasm.
On the phone
Hey mom!
Yes, honey? Why are you calling in the middle of the day? Everything okay?
Yeah, Everything's fine, don't worry. Just missed you!
I've known you since you came out of my womb, sweetheart. I think I can tell when you're lying.
*Sigh* I guess you're right.*Chuckle* I, um, I got fired.
What? Why? It's not even been that long since you got that job.
Yeah, I know, I'm sorry mom. It's just- you know the important client I was telling you about? Mr.Emaldi? I think it has something to do with him.
Why? Did you do something to him?
I don't know, I've never even met him. I probably did something wrong...don't worry mom! I'll find a great job and move out soon enough! *Smile*
