The Saturday

ARYA

I grumbled at the light shining in my eyes

"Wake up sleepysloth."

I furrowed my eyebrows, my eyes still closed

"Morning neighbour" I whispered, too deep in my slumber to care

I felt a flick to my forehead

I opened my eyes immediately and sat up straight "I'm up! I'm up!" I said, before realising what was really happening

"Val?"

"Morning, sweetness. Or afternoon should I say."

I smiled and spread my arms in the air, waiting for a hug

She smiled and sat down beside me before giving me a flick to the forehead once again

"Ow! What was that for?"

She rolled her eyes "you don't need to know."

"Imma sue you."

I gawked at the feast before me

"Woah...this is lunch?"

"Yes, thanks to the really long nap you took. I got bored and made whatever I could and now you have to eat all this."

I chuckled and linked my arm with hers "Thanks for the hard work"

I sat down, Val sitting in front of me just a moment after.

"So, why are you here?" I smiled teasingly and wiggled my eyebrows "missed me~?"

She scoffed "You wish."

She sighed "You're going to hang out with him today right? Elvin?"

I smiled, humming in response

"I don't like that."

"Why?" I asked

although I already have a hunch since I now know how she feels...

"You don't...need to know."
She looked away

I chuckled and continued to eat the delicious meal before me

She sighed "...do you like it?"

I beamed and nodded enthusiastically with my mouth full of food

She rested her face on her palm and looked at me with a look of something I was too scared to talk about with her

I was taken out of my daze when I noticed a hand waving in front of me

"Huh?"

"I asked where you're going with Elvin."

I nervously smiled "Um..I don't yet...maybe Alfred's cafe? Or the park?"

"He knows about all those places...?"

"Mhm!"

"Oh."

I noticed her change in mood and sadly smiled. Despite knowing I should do as Eli adviced,

I'm scared

The evening

"Eli!" I beamed at the boy in front of my house, leaning against his car

He looked my way and I saw a small smile creeping over his face

I went in for a hug

I noticed him stiffening and immediately started to release him form the tight hug

"Sor-"

I got cut off by hands wrapping around me in an awkward embrace

I rested my arms on his shoulder with a amused smile

ELVIN

After a short while, I took my hands to myself and looked anywhere but her way

"Let's go."

After we sat in the car, I asked the question that lingered in my mind

"Where to?"

I saw her smiling mischievously from the corner of my eye, she cleared her throat

"I was thinking maybe we can go on a long drive..whatcha' think?"

I looked at her, she was already getting comfortable and leaning against the chair

"There's a unspoken rule that says you can't sleep next to the person who's driving."

I saw her sitting straight up "I was not planning to."

"Right."

"I swear."

"And I believe you."

"I'm telling the truth."

"I'm sure you are."

She tsked with a smile still prominent on her face

"You can be really annoying." She said

"Only when I want to." I shrugged with a small smile

I cleared my throat "So, Miss Winston called. She said that when this ends she'd like to 'borrow you'."

"Aw that's sweet of her."

"She also said she'd break both my knees if I tried anything. Sweet, huh?" I chuckled

Okay...so um I know it's short and it's not all that good but... darling, I'm sure you'll understand?

Lol I tried the flirty approach. But seriously, try to understand cause my brain's wierd and I don't know why I can't write but till then hopefully you'll wait? :)
