CHAPTER - 12

"I missed you Yunmi..." Jaehyun started. "I really hope you can forgive me someday for not sticking up for you." He spoke.

Jihyun stayed planted on the ground not uttering a word but listening to him. Jaehyun took the cue to talk again.

"I really hope we can talk things out between both of us, Yunmi. I'll be waiting for you in Twilight café, today at 5 p.m. Please come so I can explain my side of the story." Jaehyun said and left the room.

Jihyun turned and looked at him thinking to herself about what her mother told her in the morning. 'I should definitely thank him for being born along with me.'

"Let's go it'll get late," Taeyong said. Jihyun simply nodded and went towards the garage. After the two got in the car, Taeyong drove to the company and entered with Jihyun by his side.

All the employees greeted them on their arrival and occasional whispers of how the two looked good with each other. They went straight towards the meeting room and entered, sitting in their respective seats which were beside each other and their assistants sat right ahead of them.

After a few minutes, the meeting began when the CEO Mr. Lee Sooman entered the room and sat in the head chair.

"Today this meeting will be held in order to finalize the agenda and results of the collaboration between JH Records and Labels and SM Entertainment. In the presence of the directors and Chief Executive Officers of the mentioned companies, I would like to commence the meeting." Taeyong's secretary Hwan said, starting the meeting.

Yeseo then began talking about the benefits of both the companies throughout the past years and the main agenda of keeping up with the collaboration for many more years.

After she finished, was Taeyong and Jihyun's speeches of how they were going to achieve it in the upcoming years. Towards the end of the meeting after a lot of debate and conclusions of plans from directors and other executives of the company, Lee Sooman started speaking, "So Jihyun, how long are you planning to keep the contract of collaboration for?"

"10 years sir, that is the time period from 2021 to 2031," Jihyun stated confidently.

"Don't get me wrong Ms. Kim Jihyun, we SM Entertainment initially signed the contract for 5 years with your brother Kim Jonghyun, because of the immense trust and expectations we had for him. But without him being a prime link between the two groups are you sure you can gain the trust of the board members of SM Entertainment?" Lee Sooman spoke again with curiosity.

Jihyun knew she had to convince the board members for this collaboration so she had come prepared for such a situation. "Yes sir, I am well aware of this, and therefore, I propose to give 17% of JH Shares to SM Entertainment as an investment. So, in case there was an emergency or threat to SM because of JH the issue might as well be solved by pulling out those shares."

"Ms. Jihyun, right now money isn't our priority, but the relationship we have kept between JH and SM along the years." Lee Sooman stated gaining everyone's attention.

"I don't understand what you are trying to imply Mr. Lee" Jihyun replied hesitantly and confused.

"When one tie breaks, we must create another between relations in order to make trust towards them stronger. When Jonghyun passed on the position to Ms. Kim, Jihyun was barely 20 but still managed to get this far." Lee Sooman said. "Therefore, in order to develop the ties between the company I have a proposal to Ms. Jihyun and the future CEO Taeyong." He continued.

Whispers and conversations of their own started to break through the silence in the meeting room. Jihyun and Taeyong nervously glanced at each other and back at Mr. Lee.

"Well, to make it simple, I propose the marriage of Taeyong, the heir of SM with Kim Jihyun, CEO of JH Records and Labels for the strong relationship of trust and power." Mr. Lee concluded.

Everything went haze to both Jihyun and Taeyong. Soon the meeting ended and everyone left except for Jihyun, Taeyong, and their secretaries.

"Yeseo and Hwan if you don't mind, please get back and wait in my room," Taeyong said breaking the awkward silence which was spread in the air. Obeying to the request, Yeseo and Hwan got out of the room leaving Taeyong and Jihyun in the meeting room alone.

Jihyun was blankly staring at the table but her mind was running all around the place like a marathon. Taeyong pulled his chair close to Jihyun and placed his right arm around her shoulder bringing her back to reality.

She turned to him and asked, "Do you want this?". Taeyong looked at her and said, "What Uncle mentioned was true, if this marriage can bring benefits to both companies, I have no reason to refuse. But are you comfortable with me?" Taeyong asked with doubt visible in his tone.

She chuckled, "It sure is way too comfortable with you considering we've met very few times. But are you sure you want this? I don't want to ruin your dreams about a perfect marriage with the love of your life." She joked.

"Jihyun-ah, I never fell in love before so I have no idea about it, heck I never had a first kiss," Taeyong said embarrassed making Jihyun burst out laughing. Her laughter echoed through the walls of the room which felt like music to his ears.

"Well, all I can say is that it'll be a good experience for both of us since neither of us has had any relationship in the past years." 'Gosh now that I talk about being in a relationship, I can very well say that I'm a noob' she thought to herself.

'Well let's see how this goes with absolutely no experience in a relationship' Taeyong thought to himself.
