CHAPTER - 17

After finishing the shower and night routine, both Taeyong and Jihyun settled in bed wearing pajamas, with some popcorn and cola. Blankets covered their bodies and the laptop settled a few feet away from them on the bed.

"Which movie do u want to watch?" Jihyun asked scrolling through her downloads.

"Insidious Chapter 2," Taeyong replied when he came across the movie. "I'm not a fan of horror but the first movie ended with a cliffhanger so yeah..." He trailed off looking at Jihyun.

"Okay," Jihyun replied. She was scared of horror movies especially at night. So, she started praying, that it wasn't too scary that she might end up losing her sleep.

Jihyun POV

Once the movie started it was going just fine, no scary scenes and no ghosts appeared for the first 20 minutes. Just when I thought it was all fine, I flinched when a jump scare appeared out of nowhere. I unknowingly scooted closer to Taeyong and pulled the blanket up to my chin.

When the next scary scene came up Taeyong also scooted closer to me wrapping an arm over my shoulder. I didn't mind as I was so indulged in the movie. He then hid his face near my temple hoping the scene would get over soon.

After a few minutes, the scary scene ended but we were still cuddled together. I moved closer to Taeyong finding a comfortable position and laid my head on his shoulder. The movie went on and ended after 2 hours. I realize my position and tried to move away from Taeyong only for him to pull me by my waist I turned to see him sleeping while resting on the headboard.

I sighed and looked at him sleeping peacefully so I switched off the laptop and kept it on the side table and switched off the lights. And laid down next to my fiancé to sleep. I kept admiring his face and features and thought to myself 'how come I never took the time to appreciate this beautiful piece of art?'. After some time, I too fell asleep beside him with an unseen smile playing on my lips.

Next Morning

Yeseo POV

I woke up in the morning at 7 a.m. and finished my routine. I went to Ms. Kim's room to wake her up when all I met was, a scene that I never really imagined ever seeing in my whole life. While standing frozen near the opened door Haechan passed by and took a peek. All he did was gasp and turn to look at me with wide eyes and I was only able to mirror his expression.

He hurriedly walked towards his room and came out dragging Mark in one hand and holding his phone in the other. He speed-walked through the corridor which seemed to catch WayV's attention as they were awake due to an early schedule. Then all the members of WayV, Haechan, and Mark entered the room and the newcomers also gaped at the view, they had seen early in the morning. I could see the younger members of WayV and Haechan taking out their phones and start clicking pictures. While Ten was still trying to bring me back to reality as this scene was so shocking that I froze.

Taeyong was sleeping in Jihyun's bed and the two were all cuddled up sharing a blanket. Jihyun's head rested on his shoulder while her arms were around his torso. And Taeyong's head rested close to Jihyun's temple while he cuddled her by wrapping his arms around her shoulder protectively.

"Well, this is a scene I never got to see in my years of working with Ms. Kim for years now," I said breaking the silence.

"This is definitely not the scene one would ever expect especially early in the morning," Kun said. "The leader cuddling his fiancé is going to be a new sight from now on." He continued.

"Looking at them I feel jealous now. Mark-ya let's go cuddle. Pleaseeee" Haechan said doing aegyo to Mark trying to make his roommate agree to his request.

Hearing whispers, Taeyong starts shuffling on the bed. All the members in the room froze when they noticed it and scrambled out of the room leaving me and Kun alone.

I turned to him and asked, "We should wake them up, right?" He replied with a small yup.

Kun went to wake Taeyong up and I went to Jihyun. After shaking her a bit, Jihyun rubbed her eyes and blinked adjusting to the light. Taeyong also woke up shortly after.

"Jihyun-ah we are getting late for work, Go get a shower quickly," I spoke. She just nodded and asked, "What is the time?".

I checked my watch and said "8 a.m." Jihyun stayed still for a few seconds before widening her eyes, running up to the washroom with her bathrobe.

Taeyong also rushed out of the room after hearing the time. I was confused because today's meeting only starts at 12 p.m. and we need to be present in the company by 10 which is two hours later.

Kun and I shared a glance and shrugged our shoulders walking out of the room.

"So, you are from China, right?" I asked trying to get comfortable with him. "Yup, why are you so interested all of a sudden?" he asked back.

"Well, my dad was Chinese he was actually a famous painter, Ji Jing Wu. So basically, I'm half Chinese." I told. "Oh, that's actually nice, but how did your parents meet then?" he asked curiously.

"My mom used to be his muse, but then they both fell in love and had me without getting married. And then all of a sudden, he disappeared when I was three and 4 years later, we got to know that he died." I replied. I myself don't know why I'm trusting Kun so much right now. Till yesterday the last thing I wanted was for him to come in front of me and now we are having a comfortable conversation while walking around the house. 'Why do I feel at peace when I'm with Kun?' I noticed that thought for a minute and shrugged it off.
