~' Sometimes I feel like I can't remember waking up with you when we were together. I lost my temper, you left at midnight, and we saw the tears fall like rain on the headlights. '~

After an hour-long drive, Jihyun parked the car in front of the Jung Mansion nervously getting out, as this place brought out unpleasant memories of the past...

Jaehyun POV

Jihyun and I reached the Jung mansion, both of us clearly don't want to be there but it was much required so that we could leave the past behind us and move forward. I knew something was cooking up in this mansion as Grandma called me yesterday. She warned me to be careful and take a wise decision, but I've got absolutely no idea what she was talking about. Well... we'll get to know about it in a few minutes.

Living with Mr. and Mrs. Jung for so long, I'm sure they would have some sort of ulterior motive for calling both me and Jihyun for lunch today. I just hope they don't cross the line this time too by insulting both of us.

Pressing the doorbell I waited nervously for someone to open the door. Soon it was opened by my mother- sorry Mrs. Jung, who looked at both Jihyun and me before opening the door wider and wordlessly walking inside the mansion without even greeting us. Sometimes I wonder why both my parents gave birth to us when they don't even show an ounce of genuine care or affection.

Walking inside, Jihyun kept looking around the mansion, probably looking at how much it changed before she left this place. Honestly, everything around the mansion had changed, paintings, vases, furniture, even the maids. The only thing that hadn't changed was the loneliness I had felt while living in this beautiful mansion.

Mr. Jung- "I was waiting for you both, took you long enough to come." he taunted.

Jihyun- "Well we got more important things to deal with rather than your meaningless taunts Mr.Jung, or should I say, father?" I almost burst out laughing but held it back.

Mr. Jung gave me a side eye and turned towards me, he was going to get straight to the point, I guess because in all these years of living with them I've known the pattern.

Mr. Jung -"Since Jaehyun has started rebelling against me now, due to some influence, I've decided to give the university to someone else who'd be more capable than Jaehyun but they put forward a condition which I've agreed to." I am so happy but knowing my father he won't let go of the university that easily.

I nodded telling him to continue.

Mr. Jung - "Mr. Cho has a daughter who is working as a professor at California university and also has finished a degree in Management, we'll be handing over the Jung University to her, but her father put forward a condition to accept the request only if Jaehyun gets married to her."

Jihyun gasped learning the new piece of information. I was still in my place, they were getting me married to some stranger just to save their university.

Me - " But I'm still young and got a whole career in front of me. And-" I tried to reason out but got cut off by my wonderful mother.

Mrs. Jung -"Jihyun is the same age as you and is willing to get married because her company is at stake. Don't you always want to follow in her footsteps? In your case, we had already given you an option to inherit the University but you refused to take over, that's why we had to take such a measure."

Oh My Gosh, are they out of their minds? They are comparing me to Jihyun who got set up with an angel like Taeyong Hyung. But I've got absolutely no idea who they set me up with.

Jihyun - "But Jaehyun doesn't even know who that girl is, nor her personality. Me getting hitched to Taeyong is not the same thing as forcing Jae to get married to some random girl."

Mr. Jung- "Ok fine, if you don't want me to compare your situation then at least ask your brother to meet the girl first before taking a decision regarding the marriage."

They really are desperate for me to get married to this girl huh?

Me- "Fine I'll meet the girl, but if I don't like the girl, you will end the topic right here."

I agreed because there is no other way out, I can reject the girl or if I need to get married to her anyways I don't necessarily have to accept her as my wife.

Jihyun - "Jung Yoonoh!"

I turned to her, "There is no other way Mimi, if I don't accept this, they'll burden me with their responsibilities, the ones that I don't want to handle."

Mr. Jung - "Perfect then, we can let you meet her and then decide on when the marriage ceremony will be held."

They are really pushing me to the very end, let's see how far they can push me.
