Before she could take another step forward, Taeyong held her wrist from behind her and pulled her into his embrace back hugging her. Jihyun flinched due to the sudden contact but soon got comfortable between his arms.
"We should get comfortable with each other so let's start with skinship hmm?" Taeyong asked nervously, not knowing if Jihyun was fine with skinship, as he didn't want to seem to force her. But her next statement made all the doubts he had, vanish.
"I'd love to start so, we can get to know each other and get rid of the awkwardness between us. It's never too fast when we are in a relationship, Taeyong." Jihyun reasoned and turned herself to face Taeyong and wraps her hands around his neck softly caressing his nape, which seemed to calm him down.
"I don't have any feelings for you as of now but one thing I know for sure is that I already feel comfortable with you by my side. And now that we have made ourselves a commitment, I will try my best to develop feelings for you... Yong." Jihyun continued. Her calling him by a newfound nickname for the first time, made Taeyong feel butterflies in his stomach.
He smiled slightly and held her tightly, and said something that Jihyun never expected him to say, "I think I'm already in love with you Ji." He confessed. "I'm not forcing you into anything now, I just want you to know my feelings for you and I'll wait for you to feel the same, even if you don't, no pressure at all. But, please don't let go before you even try."
Jihyun stared into his boba eyes that held so much sincerity. It was at that moment she realized no matter what, Taeyong would never let her feel unloved or lonely. She had found herself a keeper.
Without thinking twice, Jihyun pulled him closer and leaned in, until their lips touched. They both paused for a second, before kissing each other softly. The kiss was pure, soft yet passionate. It was their first kiss, yet they both had enjoyed it together and none of them would ever regret that moment.
"Let's go home now. I can't wait to give the boys the news that I'm getting married to you Jihyun." Taeyong said against her lips, after breaking the kiss. Jihyun agreed and informed Yeseo that she will be heading home.
They left the building and got into Taeyong's sports car and drove back home. The drive was peaceful as they both sat in comfortable silence with hands intertwined.
They reached the residence and got in after parking the car, getting inside they saw all the members except Jaehyun eating their lunch considering it was 2 p.m.
"Oh Hyung, and Noona? You both came home already? Did your meeting get over already?" Jaemin asked a bunch of questions back-to-back which made the couple chuckle.
"Well yes we came back early and we decided to do so because we have something to announce." Jihyun calmly stated as she walked towards the dining table and sat in a free seat as she and Taeyong didn't have lunch yet.
Taeyong also walked and sat next to Jihyun and on his other side was Doyoung. While Jihyun sat in between Taeyong and Renjun.
"Jihyun and I have signed the documents and the partnership will happen after 4 months from now, which is after our marriage." Taeyong nonchalantly said to the group.
Everyone at the table froze wondering if they heard it right... except for Taeyong and Jihyun who were filling up their plates at the moment.
"So,you're getting married to noona?" Mark asked Taeyong again to clear his doubts,to which Taeyong nodded looking at him.
