Jaehyun read through the page and let out a small sigh followed by a 'no way' leaving his mouth. And looked up to Jihyun who was already looking at him.

"Call your parents and ask them to come here, right now," she ordered. Jaehyun simply nodded and took his phone to call his parents as he knew he could do nothing other than follow her in this situation.

By now the most members had left to rest in their rooms and Yeseo had also finished setting up her room and went to the kitchen as she was hungry. The only members left were Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Kun, Mark, Jaehyun, and Ten.

After a few minutes, the doorbell rang yet again. Jaehyun reached out for it and opened it revealing his mom.

"Omo Jaehyunnie, my son did you miss me so much that you asked me to come here today?" his mother asked in an awfully high-pitched tone causing Yeseo who was in the kitchen to run up next to Jihyun knowing this conversation with them was never gonna end peacefully.

"How have you been mom? Where is dad?" Jaehyun asked calmly to which she answered "He's been busy all week now... you know this time of the year is where all the admissions take place".

Jaehyun lead her into the living room where her eyes fell on Jihyun. "You? Here?" she asked eyes widening in shock.

"Of course, I'm here Mrs. Jung I see you've always been shameless when it comes to money huh?" Jihyun replied not having any of the drama caused by the Jung family.

"Watch what you're saying. Don't you have any manner on how to talk to elders?" Mrs. Jung breathed.

"Oh of course I have manners, but I only show it to those who deserve my respect. And from what I know you simply aren't the one on that list." Jihyun replied not having an ounce of respect or fear for the woman who stood in front of her. She continued "Why do you think you deserve to be respected by me, Mrs. Jung?"

By this time all the members of NCT gathered in the living room hearing the commotion. And to say embarrassment was an understatement, Mrs. Jung felt horrible being insulted by Jihyun. But Jihyun wasn't gonna back down, she never does.

"Jihyun please calm down, I know mother made a mistake by claiming the house to be hers and letting us reside here past three years but let's settle this quietly," Jaehyun interjected trying to calm her down. But it clearly wasn't working.

"Mistake?" Jihyun chuckled with tears filling her eyes but held them back as she was not gonna break down. Not now, not in front of them. "The only mistake I made was being born in her womb along with you." Jihyun bitterly spat staring down at Jaehyun.

That sentence ticked off Mrs. Jung's last bit of self-respect as she turned to Jihyun raging. In Jihyun's eyes, she looked like Cinderella's stepmother but the only difference is it was her own mother.
